I'm sure at least one of us regular readers will notice at the very least. :)

A truly random source will generate streaks. Lots of them. Intuition is not a good judge of randomness.

I had a local swordmage who was doing too much damage as well - turns out he was adding the half-level bonus to damage as well as to everything else... He was also using Int for melee basic attacks without the Intelligent Swordmaster feat, until we pointed it out and he retrained for it. Also...

This is pretty much what I see as the heart of "everything is core" also. The early 3.x model (which they started to alter toward the end) was that "core" elements were supplemented in future books, but "non-core" alements were only addressed in their source. So you'd see new options for...

My warforged wizard, on a quest to become human, uses Prestidigitation to provide the illusion that he eats, drinks, and... fulfills the "output" requirements of digestion. He also uses it to generate breathing sounds during the day, and snoring sounds while "resting".
