You might find that a shield makes you more useful to your party. Battleaxe and warhammer are pretty good dwarf shield-fighter options. Depends on if there is another defender in the party or not probably.
To be fair, the RPGA is actually explicitly mentioned (in a sidebar) at least once in the 4E PHB. It wasn't ever mentioned in any rulebooks in previous editions to my knowledge. Funny thing to have bother you, but different regardless.
I'm pretty sure that any enemy hit with a power knows all of the effects of the power. Doesn't cover knowing everything but it does give enemies a lot of knowledge. The goblin might not know all of the details of his imminent demolishing, but he will know any of them that are the result of a...
That is a nice trick. Gonna try it next session. :P
Although, when your ready goes off, I think it becomes your turn, not the defender's turn - so the OA would probably still go off, wouldn't it?
First time CS here - my PayPal transaction was completed a month or so ago (the money is gone from my end), but I haven't heard anything.
The email address on the PayPal account doesn't match the one on this ENWorld account, but I included my username in the PayPal notes...

In almost all cases, forced movement has no direct negative consequences (beyond being moved to a place you didn't choose yourself). I think that this is insight into the elusive "intent" of the rules. With that in mind, I'd say that there are two arguments that suggest that forced movement...
We've got two threads on the top page right now, one claiming that the wizard is the most powerful class, and one claiming that the wizard is the least powerful class. Seems to me that they might have got it just right, lol.
I'm gonna have to go with specific (a minion dies if it takes damage) over general (monsters die when they reach 0 hp) in this case. Give a minion 200 temporary hit points, but it still dies when it takes damage. The resistance argument doesn't hold up for me - if the resistance reduces the...
