    "Laming up" non-compound monster names!

I can't put my finger on why, but this is my favourite one so far.

    Let's read the entire run

I've got a reasonably foul mouth, but I think that other than CSI: Miami, no piece of media has ever made me curse so much as Lemmings. lol

    Let's read the entire run

Close to that point for me too. I went to my pile to double check, and 175 is the oldest one I have (I have some photocopies from earlier issues). Sadly, many of the issues I know I bought between 185 and 215 are missing (along with some comic books, wah!), but my collection is almost complete...

Mr. Noah does not play World of Warcraft

In your country maybe. In my land, Rumours make a RU out of MO and URS.

Who is the D&D Brand Manager?

The word "Brand" does not appear in the credits for the PH Races: Dragonborn book.

What have been the big innovations in RPGs?

I reckon folks are tossing out the word "innovation" too lightly. Here are mine, right from the start, kind of in order (some of them had their beginnings at different points than at which I consider their eventual impact to have truly been felt - ie I know that some folks were playing...

    Is there a social obligation?

The point that the OP is making, along with some other posters, is that a PC doesn't have to be a well-oiled cog in the combat machine, but it should AT LEAST be a cog of some sort, unoiled and squealing if necessary, but a cog nonetheless. The obligation is to make an "appropriate" PC for your...

Did your very first character die or level up?

lol 1989 Human Duelist, level 6 (the rest of the players had characters of level 14+). Died in about 5 minutes. Turns out to have been an informal initiation - I was allowed to make a beefed up character like the others right away.

Hop aboard the PLOT TRAIN!!! (One of the few who picked the top option - I guess that makes my fun the badwrong sort lol)

    Debut: Ardent

Using "The Power of Positive Thinking" to aid your allies, and its reverse to hinder your foes my making them feel bad. I'm seeing Al Franken's Stuart character from SNL here. "You're good enough, you're smart enough, and, gosh darn it, people like you. Now spend a healing surge and smite...

Limited to active PCs (without classes it looks a bit more odd than it actually is) Spanner Wrench of Gond, warforged, genderless Null, warforged, genderless Blokko, warforged, genderless Crazy, warforged, genderless Dealer, warforged, genderless Word, warforged, genderless Foundation...

    Delinking role with class

I hesitate to delve too deeply into the specifics of one case here, but off the top of my head low-level Fighter powers like Footwork Lure and Lunging Strike are prepackaged for this, without even needing a re-fluff. More generally, though, as has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread. To...

    Delinking role with class

I think you'd get better mileage by divorcing the archetype you want to play from the name (and the fluff text, to a degree) of the class whose mechanics you are choosing. If you want to play a "defender rogue" then play a Fighter, get training in Thievery and/or Stealth, and call yourself a...

What would you use a d4 and d12 for?

Depends on your version. In 4E I use d12s all the time.

    Why aren't RPGs poplular

The difficult thing about this model is that it requires the publisher to admit to itself that it will be selling one product to a whole group, rather than one product to each person in the group. Yes, I know that it is often that way already in real life, but it hasn't stopped the publishers...
