Any particular reason the party would be camping outside of the town? After all, Dyson invited them to stay at an abandoned cottage.
Note that 12 hobyahs are a good deal more than what the module originally planned, so it could overwhelm the PCs.
So, for instance, a Centaur is LA +2 and 4 HD, bringing it to ECL 6. At its 6th level, which is 4 HD, you would think the stats would say to give an ability increase. However, it doesn't. Does it get one at 6th?
I just finished running this module. It wasn't very well liked by the party, mostly because the amount of misleading and misdirection was annoying to them. Here is what I would suggest.
Let them get back to the town. The PCs will ask about the horseman and Dyson can say that he was changed...
I voted no. However, if there are good mass combat rules in there for normal 3.5 D&D games, I could change my mind. Otherwise, I have no interest in playing a pure miniatures scrimmage game, especially with random packaging.
Good point - I'll check them out. Last time I was in the position to purchase a boxed set, it was for B5CCG cards and I don't believe Ebay was nearly the size it is now.
I'm looking for the new repainted minis. I sent an email to Potomac Distribution (potomacdist.com) and they said they will carry them, but not as a pre-order, and that they don't have pricing yet.
Thanks for the responses.
Anyone know where to look to purchase a box of D&D miniatures for a discount? I purchased from Potomac Distribution in the past for CCG cards at large discount, but they don't appear to be carrying the D&D minis line. Any help would be appreciated.
My DM wasn't comfortable with 1,800 gold for a shirt that can be used all the time (even with the standard action to activate every minute), so I changed it a bit. Now it's caster level 3 usable twice per day for 2,160 gold. (1x3x1800)*2/5
This item is meant for a monk, so he wouldn't be wearing anything for armor anyways. I didn't see an armor "slot" in the affinities table, so I don't know where else it would go and not get a premium price as suggested by Technik4. I don't want it to use a cloak spot because that will be...
If a monk flurries with a stunning attack as the first attack and succeeds, does the second attack get the advantage of a stunned foe, or are the blows too quick to take advantage of it? In other words, if you're doing a quick one-two punch, how would the opponent have a chance to get "stunned"...
I think the only core item of resistance is the cloak. Boosting your saves is a must do thing so all players are nuts not to buy/get cloaks of resistance.
So what items can you make as a Chr booster? Is it also only the cloak?
Is the cloak item slot the only one that can be made into a...
The two items of most interest is the "resistance" items which there is at least a cloak and the Chr booster items of which there is at least a cloak.
If it only the cloak can be used for each then the Sorcerer gets screwed (and maybe the Cleric). Where as you can boost your Dex (gloves), Str...
I take it someone with spellcraft can still make a DC 25 + spell level check to see what spell was just targetted on you after rolling your saving throw, even if you have an Int of less than 12? That info is listed in the spellcraft skill description.
I have a few questions on exactly what is covered in the item affinity slots:
#1: "Physical improvement" covers what? Str and Con and also Dex? What about Chr?
#2: "Mental Improvement" covers what? Int and Wis. What about Chr?
#3: "Interaction" covers skills like gather info. What about Chr...
