Look at Tomb of Abysthor from Necromancer Games. They have a great idea for skeletons in the beginning of their dungeon.

Re: illusion trick Heck, you don't even need a skull. Just pull your hand out of the bag with nothing in it and make it look like the hand is holding the medusa head. Of course, the enemy needs to know what a medusa head can do to be effective :)

I don't agree. With sized magic items halflings and gnomes won't be able to use medium-sized items. Also, if, say, a hill giant has large gauntlets of ogre power on, then most likely no one will be able to use them. Etc., etc.

A +1 DC for only one school is totally not worth a feat. Look at other similar feats like Girding and Penetration. Are they going to change those as well?

Because, I can then take those fighters and effectively tie up several dozen orcs that would otherwise be charging our position and attacking (I'm speaking of an upcoming event in a game I'm in where lots of orcs will be attacking, Helm's Deep style). That just seems too much for such a low...

I don't think I can agree with the fact that Silent Image or their higher level counterparts can create multiple objects. Otherwise, you could create the illusion of a large force of fighters, which doesn't seem probable.

Probably Greater Spell Focus. Unless, of course, Spell Focus now adds +1 DC to all schools and not just one school.

Damage reduction amounts have been lowered so you don't need that particular material to hurt them - it'll just help. I sincerely doubt that a 5/silver creature will be immune to your regular longsword. Even a 10/silver creature will still get beat up by a buff fighter or barbarian attacking...

By the rules, you can't have arrows of spell storing. Spell storing only works on weapons, not ammunition. Plus, it doesn't state that spell storing bestows its power to its ammunition like other special qualities do.

[/b]Agreed. It certainly looks like they're making a lot more changes than they suggested months ago. The changes we've seen will have a much bigger impact than "10 minutes to update my 15th level Druid" as stated in one of the Wizards web page revision updates.

The Forgotten Realms book Temple Hill by Drew Karpyshyn highlights a gnome illusionist and tinkerer as a secondary character. IIRC, he appears in the second half of the book.
