The Economics of Open Gaming - An Open Letter To WotC

When we don't comment we're bad, when we do comment we're bad. :heh: [linae returns to the ether]

The Economics of Open Gaming - An Open Letter To WotC

Oh, and just so everyone knows, I'm not popping into this thread to confirm or deny anything. Nor am I here to make any official comment. I just want folks to know that we are listening to everyone's concerns. We hear what you are saying. We just cannot voice any personal comments at this time...

The Economics of Open Gaming - An Open Letter To WotC

Don't take this as being defensive: My VP is the "oldest" person at WotC...she's been here since the company was operated out of Peter's basement. My director has been here for 13 years, manager 8 years, and I myself 9 years. We aren't toy/entertainment folks - we eat, sleep, work, play & dream...

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

Liz Schuh is my grandboss so what she says goes! I'll quote this line until we have more to share ;)

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

Here goes: The GSL is still under review and we apologize for the unexpected delay ;-) That's the best I can say for right now. I hesitate to comment on a new release date or if the window of exclusivity will be extended until I have a better status on the GSL.

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

Our legal team is making exceptions for companies that are based in areas that do not have business licenses on a case by case basis.

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

Chris Perkins recently described me as the only person at WotC with the ability to make posts that don't upset the entire community (or something along those lines). I'll let you in on a secret: it's a feat called "Utter Integrity" and it can be found on page 1 of my personal PHB. ;)

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

No offense taken. I knew what you were getting at. Besides, if my armor wasn't thick I would't dare post.

Can't. I prefer to remain employed.

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

@Yair Of course we cannot reply! We cannot publicly share any data on the GSL until after June 6th.

Not really a spoiler, and not really a Special Guest, but yours truly is now on the list.

    GSL: Necromancer Games SOL?

It's Linae but feel free to spell it linnae or linnea or liane or whatever. Lidda works just fine. If you went to WWU in the 90's I also respond to Lemonade (long story).

    GSL: Necromancer Games SOL?

Oh, now, you know we can't let you peek behind the curtain.

Memo to all 4th Edition Designers and Developers

Sadly, no. I checked. Not even the Marcia Brady version of kewl. Cool beans, and other cool-xxxx combos are also off limits. We are not allowed to use any form of cool from here forward. In fact, I'm probably going to be reprimanded for typing it in this post. I second the proposals of Shiny...

NEWS: OGL and SRD dates/info announced

I hesitated to respond to the question because I really can't comment on this yet. I know you were hoping for a better answer than that, but I just can't say a whole lot at this time.

Petititon For Scott Rouse to Wear the Puffy Shirt

Don't you know it! I am SO voting yes! My goal for today is to get the purchase of the puffy shirt expensed so Scott doesn't have to pay out-of-pocket for it.

What do you think about The Rouse's shirt?

He is now! You should see the shirt with the eagles on it.

NEWS: OGL and SRD dates/info announced

If it's not for sale you should be good. Of course, if it's fan-brewed I don't imagine there will be much to post in June, right? I mean, won't it take some time to get to know the rules and then come up with materials after the June 6th release?
