    D&D 4E 4E Gestalt in play

But with twice as many Encounter & Daily powers their damage output over an encounter very nearly makes up for the action economy; they aren't going to be using AtWill powers all that often.

    Fair Random Stat Generation

I have a couple questions: 1) Just how random do you want your stat generation to be? 2) Just how fair do you want your stat generation to be? -->2.1)Does "fair" mean character stats are close to expected point-buy average? -->2.2)Or does "fair" mean each character in the party is...

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

M.A.I.A. 1812, 17/38hp OOC: Can you post the text of the ability these kobolds have? (or just provide the relevant link to the Compendium if they're standard?) I can't effectively argue whether or not M.A.I.A. if I don't know how their move works. OOC2: Alternatively, not only do I have a...

    Coraline

I think it has to do with your eyes trying to shift your focal plane (and being unable to) when viewing a virtual 3D space. I frequently have tired eyes & a headache after watching a 3D movie (but movies like Coraline make it worth it).

    [4e] covaithe's E1: Death's Reach

Hmm, unless I've missed something, I've seen a Wizard, a Sorcerer, a Barbarian and Paladin proposed so far. I'm thinking a very adaptable/generalist Half-Elf Prescient Bard / Adroit Explorer / Eternal Seeker with a handful of multiclass feats. Provided the 6th slot isn't full yet I'll provide...

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

M.A.I.A. 1812, 30/38hp, 4 Temp HP Unsure of exactly where the boulder is going, M.A.I.A. decides to take the long way around and stay out in front of it. Actions: Run / Double Move Counterclockwise around the room to C7.

    Wildwood RiTaC III Gannu Mines

Figuring there's little else to stop it, Weylan slashes at the mat again. Attack: (1d20+4=11) Damage: (1d6+2=6)

Battlerager Vigor limiting it - ideas?

Link to Errata. Relevant bit: No more stacking. No more multiple-bursts of THP when you get hit. Pretty serious nerf.

Battlerager Vigor limiting it - ideas?

That should be *really* rare. Given that they're wearing Chain, a BRV fighter should be being hit with roughly the same % rate that he hits his targets. Also, if there are 2-3 enemies swinging at him, he won't have a chance to build a bunch of THP via Crushing Surge. Also, if he's swinging...

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

OOC: Like I said, it's a little silly, I just thought I'd get your take on it. I'm fine resting, Temp HP are cheap; and I suspect EvoKB will want to refresh Thomas' encounter powers.

    [TV] Virtuality

Of course they were awful. They don't call it the "friday night death-slot" for nothing. Sci-fi show? Check. Underadvertised? Check. Friday night? Check. Summer? Check. Doomed? Oh yeah...

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

OOC: Thanks Camelot, I'll update my character sheet. OOC2: I'm fine either way. I'm down about a surge-worth, but up half that in Temp. However, it might be worth resting so that Thomas can refresh his powers, particularly Majestic Word. Camelot, how do you feel about some of us taking a...

Battlerager Vigor limiting it - ideas?

How the devil is he getting up to 35 THP? THP's from Invigorating powers stack, the THP's that Battlerager Vigor grants when you're hit don't stack. The only way he should be getting up to double-digit THP's is if you're hitting him 1) less than once per round, and 2) hitting him for less than...

    [TV] Virtuality

I enjoyed it. They set up a couple of clear questions that the (potential, if not likely) series will be about: Question that will never be conclusively answered, just endlessly danced around: 1) Is the entire mission a sim? Question that will be the main focus of season 1, probably answered...

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

M.A.I.A. 1812, 30/38hp, 4 Temp HP M.A.I.A. shifts to flank the hapless kobold with Thomas, then takes another swing. :melee:Crushing Surge Attack: (1d20+8=22) Damage: (1d10+4=10)

    Wildwood RiTaC III Gannu Mines

Briefly pondering the effectiveness of arguing with crockery, Weylan manifests another mindblade and takes a swing at the reed mat before it can come up behind NR and Inamar as they enter the house Attack: (1d20+4=20) Damage: (1d6+2=5)

    The Heroes of Fannen-Dar

M.A.I.A. 1812, 30/38hp Recovering from his poorly-timed blow, MAIA takes another swing at one of the kobolds flanking him. :melee:Crushing Surge Attack: (1d20+6=10) Damage: (1d10+4=13)

    Wildwood RiTaC III Gannu Mines

"Because we're trespassing. It's her guard dog." Weylan manifests a mindblade, and not having room to maneuver around the 'zoder and Rooth, elects to throw it at the doormat; but his throw goes wide. Attack: (1d20+4=5)
