Where do you see (or want) 5.0 to go?

Here too. v3.5 had some good stuff, but the extra math is what made me not enjoy running it. 4e could do to have some more math taken out as well. Here's what I would hope for in my ideal 5e; 1) Keep the 'powers' format for Divine/Arcane classes, but use the Talent Tree setup from SAGA/d20...

I'm sorry, but you'll all be seeing more of me.

As the new WoTC community setup managed to screw up my account, that I've had since 2002, and they still can't get me into my screen name after 4 days, this is the next best place to discuss 4E. Sorry. ;)

    Double Weapon in one hand?

Pretty much what he said above. By the rules anyway. Now, if you wanted to allow it for visual flair (I could see a Valenar Elf in Eberron doing that with a double scimitar, as an opening charge, then discarding the shield when he finally dismounts and going two hand style), I would allow it...

What feats need to be added to the game?

Brawler Requirements: Str 13 While not the formal training of the Monk, you can fight unarmed. Gain a +2 bonus to attacks when fighting unarmed or with improvised weapons.

I have the Eberron Player's Guide and Kingdom of Ghouls

Wow, thank you. With that, and the info on the Mark of Storms, either idea I have for my Eberron game is valid. Excellent.

    I've DMed 4e and I PREFER DMing: A poll

Out of all the systems I own, I prefer to run nWoD, but currently don't have a group for that. I am currently running and prefer 4e to v3.5 for D&D. And yes, I am that poster. I've talked with 40 local DMs and they all said they preferred to run 4e over v3.5. Now, only about 1/4 is currently...

Trouble with Short Rest and Healing Word

My players never reference Hit Points. But they can actually roleplay without rules telling them to. They only refer to wounded/bloodied and KDFO.

Fighter's Mark makes DM combat less fun

Why are all the enemies apparently charging the Fighter in a small hallway? Can't they go around the fighter?

    D&D 4E Grid-less 4e?

repost of my post in that 'other' forum... Well, when Saga Star Wars first came out, people said you'd have to have minis, period. I proceeded to take it to the Boy Scout Summer Camp I was working at as a cook, and ran it for 6 weeks without a mini anywhere. At all. What Saga (and 4E combat)...

    Most Useful Reference Sheet ever?

Fair enough. Use the same link. I changed it to a 2-page format, so it can be printed front/back, and to get all the conditions to fit I hand typed them. That should work clearer. All in all, between others here and myself, there are a lot of good options for player references.

    Opportunity Attacks??

Currently, there is no way to get Threatening Reach on a PC that I'm aware of. I may have missed one, but Polearm gamble does give an Opportunity Action upon them entering, at the trade off of giving the enemy Combat Advantage. But that's not Threatening Reach, that's more like 'set vs charge'.
