My group enjoyed Torg quite a bit too. We even imported the drama deck into our other games. It fit almost perfectly into Feng Shui.

I got into the game because I could buy the basic box in a mall toy store -- and that's the only RPG stuff they carried. I'm rather suspicious of the claim that FLGS's serve as much of an entry point, since they're typically in out of the way places and one has to specifically look them up...

Personally I'm not so convinced that one should keep it a private matter. Certainly in the beginning while trying to work it out and look at your other options -- -- but poor freelancers often don't have any other options given the costs of legal action. And some people exploit that --...

It didn't seem to me to be a rag on lawful-stupid either, just a little story showing the range of human reactions to a situation that looks really bad. Either that or showing the range of morale check results! :D

I got the page of death -- then an interminably long loading icon, but that at least gave me hope! So I left the tab open, washed some dishes, read a few other web places, then it finally loaded enough to see the comic! It was like walking to school in 2 byte baud snowstorm.

I still think it was a concept with some real potential. I wonder to what extent it was hurt by not using d20 Modern/Future as the base rules (or waiting to use them).
