A few sessions ago in WLD I provoked about 6 AoOs in one round so the party's wounded monk could get up from prone and retreat w/o dying. That's the only time I can recall purposely provoking an AoO, but I get hit w/them all the time.

I think you add the highest level spell to the CR. So that would be True Seeing rather than Scorching Ray. If it had a visual trigger w/o True Seeing it would be the same though, but then it could be fooled by darkness.

I always thought it was dumb for a race to have a favored class rather than a class to have favored races.

I think there's an item in savage species that lets you add enhancements to your natural attacks. Monks might not have as many options for items, but that's an advantage. W/o having to buy weapons/armor they've got alot more money for other stuff. They can sve up for that monk's belt.

Half ogres are a pretty great race, and being large is totally worth the +2LA. (Though maybe not at ECL4.) I wish there were more options for being large-large and not fake-large like a goliath.

In the end I went w/Human Barb1/Sorc1/fight4/D.D.2 He uses a glaive, so I wanted natural (bite) attacks for adjacent targets. And since he's a TH PAttacker, being able to use wands of shield helped his AC alot. True strike and swift Exp. Retreat as spells are also good. And I love feats, so...
