Can’t agree with that. I think 1e/2e largely failed at providing the kinds of subsystems that allowed for heroic action like you find in 5e or 13th Age. It was the attempts to bolt on the splatbooks and create multiclass kits to shore up for deficiencies in the fighter class in a heroic system...

Can attest that there are companies out there that will try to contest even work done on free time done on personal equipment. There are people that vindictive out there, and their goal is to use nuisance suits and legal threats to discourage people from working in the same industry shortly...

I don’t think that is a very feasible system. What’s more likely is you end up with a game that does one or maybe two of those things well, and the others poorly. You have any examples of any system that does this successfully?

Agreed. Our group has been playing a lot of OSR/NSR games the past year, and they've been so enjoyable. We're currently in the midst of a Mothership campaign, after also playing some Forbidden Lands, DCC, and Shadowdark, and the thing I've realized above all is that these are all different games...

Conversely all the keyword language in the world still hasn’t helped anyone understand how Hiding works in 5.5.

I dislike the mechanical lawyer speak, and think it’s particularly overdone in 5.5. I’d much prefer something more enjoyable to read.
