    Races of Destiny

Yes... yes, thank you, that's exactly right. Uh... man. I wish I could remember. It was somewhere around #170-#180, I belieeve. I know that it was written by Bruce A Heard, and it was part of the "Voyage of the Princess Ark" series about Mystara's more out-of-the-way locations.

    Races of Destiny

Yeah, I know. What I meant was that in Red Steel, half-elves were a distinct race from both humans and elves (probably from two groups intermarrying long ago in the past), and that the setting's humans and elves didn't themselves interbreed. But that reminds me... in the Realms, yeah, isn't...

    Justice League

Ditto. Gawd, that show was awful. Aside from Lex Luthor -- who died -- the only Superman villains they had on the show were the Toyman and... ugh... the Prankster. Enough said.

    [May] What are you reading?

Hear, hear. I just finished the Sandman canon myself -- read the whole series in about two months, I think. I can't say how beautiful it all was... words fail me. For my part, I'm reading Aztec by Gary Jennings. It's the first non-fantasy novel I've read in ages. Normally I hate historical...

    Justice League

Slightly off-topic, but anyway... Yeah. If there was a turning point for the worse in JLA, it was probably "Obsidian Age". While I liked how they set up the League of Ancients, and very much liked most of the Ancients themselves, pretty much everything else about the arc bothered me. Like, all...

    FRA3 - Blood Charge

I think Outsider (Native) may be appropriate... since they require some form of sustenance, I don't believe that Construct would be appropriate, and their form is just too freaky for Magical Beast or Monstrous Humanoid in my opinion.

    Races of Destiny

There might have been another of which I'm unaware, but that concept was practiced in the fully online "Red Steel" campaign setting. It was set on the planet Mystara, but in the "mainstream" Mystara setting ("the Known World"), elves and humans were simply infertile. Red Steel was set in a very...

    Converting Epic Level Beings

As far as spells go, I'd just like to suggest that under his sorcerer list he get polymorph, shapechange, some kind of size-reduction spell, or anything to allow him to assume human form and/or size, since I recall seeing a Greek myth "family tree" of sorts noting that he had children with...

Filling a world! Help needed please.

Well, if all else fails, you can try amazon.com (I should have thought of that the first time I posted something). It's not as cheap as a library, but at least you don't have to send it back after a few weeks.

    D&D 3.x Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

About anuchu characters... I like Animal, Good, and Plant, too. Maybe we should just leave out the part about who they worship, though, since there's nothing on it; besides, given their connection to nature, I think it's more likely that they're just nature-worshipers. Maybe most of their...

    need ideas for Fey creatures

That link reminds me... also look for Faeries by the incomparable Brian Froud and Alan Lee. Another good book is Gnomes by Will Huygen. Also, if you're looking for something a little more lighthearted, check out Lady Cottington's Fairy Album by Brian Froud. I understand that S&S is coming out...

    need ideas for Fey creatures

Also, if you can find it, you might try looking at Relics and Rituals: Excalibur from Sword & Sorcery, a sourcebook on chivalric Arthurian fantasy. It's got several "fae" races ("others", the not-quite-human peoples of the old British Isles) that are humanoids but could probably be converted to...

Filling a world! Help needed please.

See if you can find After Man: A Zoology of the Future. It's a book with lots of great ideas about how vertebrate animal life would continue to evolve if humanity were taken out of the picture for 50,000,000 years. All that and full-color illustrations, which are definately the best part of the...

Filling a world! Help needed please.

Well, my setting (which I am also still making up, so no stats) has a critter called a tree lion... kind of a lanky, lion-sized big cat with dark gray fur with small black spots, a black mane, and a long tail to balance as it leaps from tree to tree. Long limbs, long retractable claws. It preys...

Converting original D&D and Mystara monsters

Right here. Freakay! For my part, I'd like to put in a good word for the faerie, also from AC9... though I wouldn't be surprised if you're tired of dealing with fey, which is pretty understandable, considering how many have been converted lately.

Converting First Edition monsters from DRAGON magazine

Ahh, thanks! I'd been wondering what sorts of critters were hanging around in there. (Explodestool, hm...)

    Converting Maztica and Horde monsters

I concur. However, since they're spirits, I think we should state that if using Oriental Adventures, then they should have the (Extraplanar) subtype instead and be native to the plane of the Spirit World.

Converting First Edition monsters from DRAGON magazine

By the way, did you by any chance post a list of monsters from the first Creature Catalog? It's not on the master list.
