    New ways to pwn people

I'm running a Ptolus game that, in their first adventure, had a car(riage) chase scene. Most of the PC's are City Watch, so half the time they're using non-lethal damage anyway. This could be a very good adaptation.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"What the-?" Ada leaps up and takes a swing at Longcoat with her club. ((More Power Attack,-2/+2))

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Why bother?" Ada says. She looks up to the sudden glances from the others. "The killer is dead?.The wh-women are safe. And we have this," Ada points to the coin and treasure in the chest, while picking up a bloody trophy and tossing it out onto the floor. "It'll take some cleaning, but I'd say...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Ada gestures rudely to the half-orc before snorting and unlocking the chest with the key.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Ada smiles as she holds up the key to the others. "Here we go," she says. She walks over to the chest and looks at it warily. "This thing isn't going to bite my head off is it? We've had cutlery take shots at us already tonight."

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

I have to say, seeing Tucker gut punch Apep was one of his more badass moments.

    Eberron: no sexism

I'll be sure to tell the woman dominated table top games we have around here that. It's going to be disapointing for my friend Laura that her 7th Sea game apparently doesn't exist.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Ada," she says without looking at the others. She winces as she stands. "And if no one else is going to do it..." She searches the body.

Nah, the red CAP is just him being Longcoat. Not sure where the healing came from.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Ada's face is red and sweating as she struggles to restrain her breathing. She spits on the body. "Mess with my whores will you?" she snarls. Then her face goes blank. "Ow." she says, as the adrenaline leaves her body. She sits roughly on the ground and holds her side.

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

See, I don't see it. Until I realized who Apep's influence was- I saw Apep as decidedly slick. And nowhere near as frantic and manic. This changes with a damn funny scene with him later of course...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Keep at him! We got the bastard!" Ada tries to swing with her all, hoping it manages to connect this time. Power attack -2 to hit, +2 to damage

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"That's the way to do it!" Ada shouts out at the paladin and the unknown spellcaster behind her. She takes another swing and tries not to cry out from the tearing of her wound as she does so. ((Another power attack, but let's make it -1/+1 to try to actually hit it...))

Living the Lie: The Philosophical Illusionist

Actually, Whiz can probably explain it better than I, but as he explained to me (I'm his DM) this guy comes from a culture of gnome's who are basically "Orthodox- Glittergold Illusionists" Gnomes who just hide their city behind illusions to avoid invasion and then live life as normal? AMATEURS...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Gods!" Ada reels back. Given her size, people often went out of their way NOT to injure her- even in the Warrens. To have that invulnerability so casually brushed aside, as well as being hurt worse than she's ever been... well that's an eye-opener. "BASTARD!" She shouts, swinging her club...

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

Tock's death. Or fake death. Let's call this a really good bluff roll. See, Kat is blindly trusting and naive. If Tock appeared dead, he was. That blew Kat's mind. I'd been playing Kat as partially autistic, but the thing that happens when you write is that your characters go places you...
