Shooting in Rain and from a moving Carriage?

So it finally happened. The quivalent of a car chase scene in my police procedural Ptolus campaign. So what kind of penalties are we looking at for a) leaning out the side of a cart, b) shooting while it's raining, and c) trying to keep yourself steady as they barrel down roads at breakneck...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"You want to fight it out with angry spirits be my guest. There was something moving in there. And not the spider." Ada peers into the room cautiously to see if she can see the creepy movements under the blanket she saw earlier.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Ada watches the twisted corpse with a grimace. "Forget all my bitching. I'd have to throw out my shield if that gunk got on it, so you did good."

    Most Often Used Skill?

heh. it's funny. I see why Forgery isn't considered very useful, but a greey and judicious use of the Forgery skill actually altered the course of our Midwood game very very drastically. You won't ever see me dissing that skill, as the only time it was used it was used VERY effectively.

    Most Often Used Skill?

Depends on the character actually. I make knowledge checks all the time, "What's that?" "What's that?". Our bard is a bluffing machine. Spot I'm sure is made often, but we never see it since the DM rolls it all. We use Search pretty frequently as well. Although, in the PbP Ptolus game I'm...

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Maybe. Like I said, she's an NPC and tumbling's not really her style.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Well a +3 REF save to start isn't too shabby either.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Actualy that COULD be perfect. She's a paladin of Bahamut (mostly to bounce off and probably conflict with the PC noble-born cleric of the same...). There's that arcana requirement, but maybe if I fudge it to be Religion given that it's a dragon deity... Disbarring that I could sink more racial...

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Point. I did do that and tossed a few points into Heal, thinking she healed a few injured slaves during her time- but I could toss more in there. Bluff isn't her style, but Intimidate could work... And yeah, I'm actually rather impressed by her saves. Pretty hefty for a level 4 character.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Devoted Performer takes care of that though, correct? Besides, I'm not sure I'm willing to sink the points into Spellcraft to get that. Decent idea though.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Mostly for flavor. She's an escaped slave, although I may switch that out for whichever feat is needed to let there be a lawful bard. Which feat would that be? Ah never mind, you adressed it. Any recommendations for another feat better than Stealthy? I'm open about that one.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Ah ha. Thought so... Well let me adjust the above then.

    Critique a Lizardfolk paladin/bard

Hey there. For a Ptolus game I am running, I'm planning on having a female lizardfolk paladin/bard be a sort of non-traditional antagonist for my police PC's. Essentially, she isn't meant to be entirely combat optimized, but more of a politcal organizer for the opressed homeless lizardfolk...

    Will do. Thanks.

    Good Bard/Paladin build?

Interestingly enough, I have a level 4 lizardman bard/paladin NPC I could use some help with as well. Let me know if it's kosher to hijack the thread. I mostly need his skills looked at to make sure I accounted for the LA and racial skill points correctly.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Hold it away from your face then," Ada snaps. She steps back and winds up to slam the spider against the paladin's shield.

    Private Investigator PC

I'm actually running a police procedural game in Ptolus actually, (which i will story hour eventually...) We have a factotum and Investigator from Crime and Punishment and both of them are doing quite well. Even the gnome ilusionist is doing some undercover work. I'd also look at the Justicar...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Up. Its coming down to the open doorway. Let's squish this thing quick." Ada will attack and try to flank the spider at the doorway with Jarrem if possible.

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"Here! Fighting giant spiders that you should be in front of not me!" If she can, while swinging, Ada tries to back out enough to give Jarem room to enter and flank the spider.
