    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Ah. I remember him. Got it. Given that Ada's day job is a waitress at the Onyx Spider and a backdoor madam by night, I'd be very curious to hear why a paladin would hang in such places... She is interested in the Longcoat killings, because she's afraid it'll be bad for business but really has...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

I can natter or we can work it out. Ada's pretty mercenary in her motivations for this. Although who's your character Pitchwife? I don't see them on the Character thread.

    LOVED that moment.

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

You know, I still giggle every time I read Tock going "Please, please don't die on me."

    Can gnomes talk to rats?

Actually I've seen gnomes make use of that ability in more forest-oriented capmaigns. I think I'll allow it. They're close enough for me. But the posters saying they're pretty stupid is spot on. They may see a lot, but they're way simple. "Big man! Saw! I'm hungry! I want to mate! Are you...

    Can gnomes talk to rats?

Nah, it's the Ptolus campaign. Not even sure what Skaven are, to be honest. But there are ratlings, which are basically kobolds except rat-based as oppsoed to dragon based. There will be run-ins with them at some point for sure.

    Can gnomes talk to rats?

I'm running an urban police procedural DnD campaign, and the player with a gnome PC had a very good question. Namely, if rats would count as a "burrowing animal" for a gnome's Speak With Animals ability. The gnome wasn't raised in the city, however, and is basically a slumming tourist from a...

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

Bufer, I think, can be called tricksy. Renraw and Tock are just bastards. I really very much dug this adventure, simply because it told me a lot about Kat. My first concept of him was sort of a weird combination of Indiana Jones and Monk. Completely paranoid and OCD, but still functional when...

heh. Glad you noticed. Kat's all about patterns within patterns. To his detriment.

Adapting the Lycanthrope Template to +0?

Now... THAT is a decent little solution. He looses skill points up the wazoo, but he was willing to kill his character and raise him again in order to circumvent the LA... This could work.

Adapting the Lycanthrope Template to +0?

Well, to be fair, I don't think he cares about the horror-flavor. He just wants a wolfish elven girl that turns into a wolf and steals things. Again, I'm pretty sure he's heavily influenced by the Elfquest comics. So really, the main LA killer is that bloody damage resistance and extra HP. So...

Adapting the Lycanthrope Template to +0?

Well the ability to turn into a wolf or wereform is pretty big I think. As I said, lycanthropes will remain normal except for him. The Shifter sounds interesting. I may look into that.

Adapting the Lycanthrope Template to +0?

I'm starting a police procedural compaign in Ptolus (inspired by a thread at ENWorld actually...) starting at level 1 and one of the players *REALLY* would like to play a werewolf. And elf rogue lycanthrope to be exact (Yeah, someone read Elfquest growing up...) I initially said no straight out...

Ack. In retrospect, I should have posted this in the Rules Forum. My Apologies. Feel free to delete this mods, as I just posted it over there.

Ptolus: Midwood - "The Dark Waters of Moss Pond"

Well phooey. For those reading, Tock told a rather ribald rumor that the Constable lost his leg indulging in unwholsome appetites with dragons and dragonkin. Renraw also spread it at the stake-out, which resulted in Emmerson yelling at him, which then resulted in Hazel telling them to can it...
