I Got D&D 4.1E, You Got The Questions

"New?" Jackass is the oldest skill in role-playing games.

Taking a skill/feat/ability, but refusing to use it. Repeatedly.

That's why girls shouldn't be allowed in role-playing games. But seriously, players will develop myopia at the weirdest times. In my D20 Modern game, the PCs traveled to the far future in the second episode, where they found scads of futuristic items from D20 Future: a personal deflector (+4 to...

I Got D&D 4.1E, You Got The Questions

Is it compatible with GURPS 4E and the new AI GM?

Round?! That's unpossible! "Hey, Old Timer...do these balloons blow up into funny shapes?" "Not unless round is funny." Ahem... All right then. I can deal with round. Sure do prefer rectangular, though.

Hey, Xath (or anyone else in the know), How big are the gaming tables we're using? I have a pretty big map to lay out on the table, and minis, and I'm just wonderin' is all. If the tables are of varying sizes, I'd like to humbly request a big one. Thank you!

You are arrested and thrown in prison, what do you do now?

Can we all drive out Dayton and play your character for you too? Considering your location, I'd say you should ask yourself W.W.B.P.D.?* * "What would Bob Pollard do?"

Anyone who owns the Core Rulebook, please bring it along: the more copies, the merrier. Bring your dice, too! (Would anyone go to a Con without dice? Hm.) No Dwarven Forge for this game, but I'll be bringing some minis and a table map. Martinis are after the game! :D Getting psyched....!

    24 3/28/05 Spoilers

I figured the target was clear: Air Force One. However, it sure looked like an F-117A Nighthawk...and those are usually loaded up with laser-guided bombs and air-to-surface missiles. Not the best choices for taking out another aircraft, unless you really do intend to just ram into it. (Which is...

    Keeping a Prisoner "Medicated"

I like the idea of the opposed check. The PC and the Prisoner both get to do their thing, spend AP, etc., and the best roll "wins." Of course, if the Medic fumbles and overdoses the Prisoner...he'd better roll a heck of a FORT save. :D

D&D possible cause in Murder case again.

Outlaw imagination now, before it kills somebody else.

    Keeping a Prisoner "Medicated"

Heap, thank you. That's some great advice...make it an action of the field medic, rather than statting out pharmaceuticals. But assuming I use that system, how can I also factor in the psion's Autohypnosis skill? Seems to me this skill could also be used where drugs and intoxicants are...

    Keeping a Prisoner "Medicated"

So my players have captured their archnemesis. They want to interrogate him, but they know he's psionic and they need to rest up from the fight. Naturally, they had the idea to zip-tie his arms and legs, and "dope him up" until they see fit to question him. They have access to a small medical...

Alien Apocalypse - Anyone else planning on watching ole Ash?

This movie sucked so, so bad. But I enjoyed it in a "well, there's nothing else on and I have to sit here with the sleeping baby anyway" kind of flick. Pure B-movie schlock, but I can't understand why people expected anything more...? I enjoy Bruce Campbell quite a bit in whatever he's in.

    D20 Modern + Future + Past + New Dr Who = ...

The online TARDIS manual was also very helpful for deciding how I wanted time travel to work in the game. It's thorny question that you need to answer before Session #1. Another thought occurs to me: it took the PCs several sessions to get used to the idea of having a TARDIS. Frankly, they...

    D20 Modern + Future + Past + New Dr Who = ...

I'm already doing it, except my campaign is full-frontal TARDIS action. My 2nd Season just premiered last week. GURPS Time Travel is a very useful book for this campaign. See the link in my sig for details.

Something I'd Love to See: d20 Modern/Past minis

That'd be fine with me. I already own D20 Modern. :D Bring on the Modern minis! Chalk me up as another vote for YES, collectible or not (even though I've never bought a package of D&D minis and probably never will).

I second that. If you stay in DC proper, you'll be driving at least 45 min. that morning. College Park is the way to go.

    "24" 3-21-05 *SPOILERS*

Don't let's forget the tunnel gaffe... "They're going to be out of satellite coverage for two minutes! Make sure the tail hangs back so our ignorance of those 2 minutes will be total!" Silly eejits.

[d20 Modern] Operating equipment: skill check?

All those skills will work, with common sense applied. If you can build it from scratch, then I would rule the DC to operate would be slightly less than to build the object anew. I mean, the character can build an automobile engine from spare parts but can't turn it on? Makes no sense...
