    Beholder eye stalks

Please don't just call it foolish repeatedly and think you've made a point. It doesn't matter what level you get fireball at, that has no relevance.

    Beholder eye stalks

Logic isn't in the rules? The entire game is based around applying logic to a fantasy realm with magic and monsters. Do you understand that giants are stronger than halfllings is based on the logic of them being bigger? Second, arguments based around balance fail and that has nothing to do...

    Beholder eye stalks

The sword can cut someone in two with a critical hit. Just not everyone, a critical hit with a sword can also deal a nominal amount of damage (2) as well. If you want to throw out logic, you need a far better argument than you have brought. The subject of this thread is on taking out beholder...

    Beholder eye stalks

Is your argument that logic should not be applied to D&D?

    Beholder eye stalks

If you did enough damage to a monk that it was reasonable to cut a limb off and you had some kind of called shot. Limbs are certainly stronger than eyes and eye stalks, I don't know why you would compare the two. You say that you don't think that a beholder should have this weakness, so why...

    Beholder eye stalks

If you have eyes that are incredibly powerful and they are outside the main body, just attached by flimsy stalks, I think it's appropriate that you can destroy an eye(s) instead of having to finish off the entire creature. I know in 2nd edition there were rules on this, and it only makes sense...

    Beholder eye stalks

We all know beholders have some super powerful abilities from their eye rays, but we also know that eye are very vulnerable and not being encased in a skull will make them even more vulnerable. In 3.5, is there any rules on how much damage the eye can take before they are destroyed. I was...

    Gnome Home

Does anyone have any design or good explanation of how a Gnome's home looks? From what I read in the PHB is that they have little homes underground, is this supposed to be something like in Lord of the Rings? How would you go about building one?

    Summon a creature permanently

Are there any ways to summon a creature other than gate permanently? When I see a lot of the artwork for summoning this has a certain circle drawn on the floor and if I remember in 2nd edition there was a really cool 6th level wizard spell where you could do such a thing (I don't remember the...

What spells would you relevel and why?

I think the idea of balance is one of the silliest things out there that make the game dumb. Why would gun with a sword be able to do as much as a master of arcane magic? Balance ftmfl!

What spells would you relevel and why?

What I'm saying is that in order to summon a creature from another plane, what ever the creature, would take too much magic to be a those levels. I don't like the idea of saying that spells are too good or bad, I like to measure the amount of magic it would use and go on that.
