    Oots 660

Let's not go crazy here. OotS is a fun lil' comic, but really: 1. It suffers from Walls of Text. A lot. The characters don't seem to be able to convey action and growth without talking an inordinate amount, which gets fairly annoying when all I want to do is look at the strip and chuckle...

    What's hot?

Night Below gave me all sorts of love for aberrations in D&D. The original Ravenloft module also rocked. Immense castle, chock full of fun little encounters, and a foreboding sense of dread. Recently, the same adventure popped up in two different games I play in, pretty much during the same...

What is your favorite class(es) so far? (4E)

So, for every Paladin that wants to take a different PP, they're just SOL? ;) Eh, it's just not a class for everyone, and this is all my opinion, so no biggie.

What is your favorite class(es) so far? (4E)

The problem a group of mine with a Paladin encountered is, the solos and elites that weren't undead just didn't care enough about the damage (or the -2 atk, natch) for it to be meaningful. Even 17 damage...a Solo can easily suck that up and spend a few rounds DEVASTATING a striker or controller...

What is your favorite class(es) so far? (4E)

Yeah, I'm trying to play that character concept with my Druid, and it's working out pretty well, so far. Still, with the awesome bonuses granted by the aspect choice...some of those beast-form powers are too good to pass up. :) Maybe the Primal Power summoning-focus Druid will have an...

What is your favorite class(es) so far? (4E)

Favorite: Druid. Wildshape whenever I want, awesome utilities, and sublime control options for both melee and ranged. Least Favorite: Paladin. "Hey! Hey you! You better, uh, you better come deal with me, or else you'll take...maybe, like, 7 damage? 7 damage, yeah! Ha HA...crap! Where...

Not enough selection of at-wills in 4e?

Nope. Never enough choices. :) Honestly, for me, whenever there's a choice between an at-will and encounter/daily utility power, it's usually no contest. This power is something unique and fun I can do, whenever I want. Yes please. Honestly, I feel like some 3pp should go ahead and release...

WOTC D&D June Editorial Calendar is up!

Revenants! :D No idea how that's going to play out...maybe similar to those Dhampyr feats?

    We just finished Night Below

My group also did a 3.5 Night Below campaign. It still ranks as one of my top five campaigns ever, I wuvved it so much. For anyone who's looking into doing it: Have you and your group watch the Planet Earth episode on Caves. Hell, for anyone doing anything involving the Underdark, this...

    Pathfinder 1E A question about Pathfinder's casters.

See, I don't see anything wrong with that, but I can see why some people might say it's going against the grain of 3.x's "Magic should be limited." If the mage can shoot bolts of arcane energy from a wand, why does he only get so many magic missles, or even cantrips? Also, I'm trying to...

    PHB3 cover!

Fair enough. They're also prone to making mistakes, so that might be the case. ;)

D&D 4E 4e vs. Paizo: Mommy, Daddy, please stop fighting!

Competition is good for the industry. It's how new ideas are created, things are improved upon, and leads over-all to more growth. And man, I'd love to see some huge fights break out at GenCon this year, if only because they'd be hilarious, and so would the newspaper headlines: Fan Friction...

    PHB3 cover!

Think of the :):):):)storm there will be, if you're correct. It'll be glorious. I'm going to agree with previous posters and say that the primal/divine subtitle is probably just a red-herring, or a mistake. Or at least, I hope. I'm interested to see what further distinctions can be...

Sexism in D&D and on ENWorld (now with SOLUTIONS!)

You know this how? I'm not even disagreeing with you, and I'm not trying to be pedantic. You seem more learned in feminism, both modern and historical, than I'll ever be. But I think Oni's point could be expanded upon: a setting with inherent sexism as part of its foundation isn't...

Sexism in D&D and on ENWorld (now with SOLUTIONS!)

Good god, I wish this thread had a humor tag. And yeah, D&D is inherently sexist, at least a little bit. You ever see fantasy pictures of "normal" women? They're either horridly ugly (and therefore probably a monster in disguise, or Ugly For A Reason) or, at the very least, thin and...
