The story at the link is deceptive. Gen Con is being sued for $500,00 for breaching an agreement. They are also being sued for $150,000 for the auction. The rest of the monay is interest.

Monsters with special case abilities really don't bother me. I accept levels, classes, feats, and abstract HPs. I don't think one more game over reality aspect will break D&D for me.
