    [Completly OT] Xbox or PS2?

Honestly, I can't make a decision yet. At the beginning of my original post, I was leaning towards an Xbox. But by the end, you can see I start leaning towards a PS2. For me, here are the biggest strengths of each: PS2: GTA3 & Vice City, Okage, Dark Cloud, Jak & Daxter, etc. Xbox: DVD...

    "Open" vs. "Goal" Campaigns

I don't like linear games. Players should have the freedom to go wherever they want and do whatever they want. Of course, this is more work for the DM because he/she has to put together an entire world and always have a few possible adventures handy. Even in a open-ended game, the DM will...

    How are the LoTR games?

I've heard mixed reviews. Has anyone actually played them? Which ones are better? Are they all made by the same company? Aren't they available on both the PS2 and Xbox? I don't understand the storyline between The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers games. Are they both out now? How do...

    OT Age of Mythology

I've only seen a preview of it at GenCon last summer, but it looks and feels essentially the same as Age of Empires to me. There are some cool concepts, if I remember, like divine favor and I like some of the new monsters. But I think I'll buy it later when the price goes down, primarily because...

    [Completly OT] Xbox or PS2?

Hi, everybody! I've read through the thread, but I can't make a decision either. I've owned the PS One and Dreamcast and have enjoyed both, but now I'm looking to get a DVD player that can play some games, too. So, it's either a PS2 or an Xbox. In my opinion, the PS2 has A LOT of great games...

    Death and Taxes

A good document to look at may be the the Domesday Book if you can locate it. It's a record of every pig, horse, farm, cooking pot owned by everyone in Britain in the 11th century. I'm not sure if it has taxation rates and such, but its compilation was meant for efficient taxation of all British...

How do you plan to handle the revised SRD?

I'm also wondering how the revised edition D&D will affect your release schedule. For example, if you have some products coming out in the months following the revised rules, do you plan to delay release to see what you can do with the new rules before printing? Nobody knows for sure when the...

How do you plan to handle the revised SRD?

I'm just wondering if publishers will ignore it when it comes out. I mean can't you just continue using the current one out there? This "revised" edition may lead to a lot of confusion for d20 products. What do you plan to do?

Are you going to buy the Revised rulebooks?

You know all of these threads talking about this same topic just generates more hype for these products. Don't be surprised if it this kind of interest leads to the printing of another "revised" edition in 2005.

WotC's Announcement re. the Revised Core Rulebooks

I still can't get over the fact that the statement makes two years sound like a whole lot of time. TWO whole years! I'm betting only three months of that was spent actually compiling revision ideas, while the other 21 months was spent waiting for the "right" time. Well, I'm still sticking to...

How often do they do this poll? Do they have to be reminded every single time EN World is #1?

(Mystic Eye Games) Off to the Printer

I like that last drawing and this: "ACK..what is this? She's pretty, no way she is in this book!!!!" LOL. :) Looks really good! Great job!

WotC's Announcement re. the Revised Core Rulebooks

I'm sure though that input did not include comments like, "We'd like to see a revised edition two years from now." I have mixed feelings about the revised edition. It seems like a good idea, but at the same time, I feel like they could have waited, oh say, at least five years after they...

Do you like the "edgy" 3e art style?

Hmmm, those are interesting results. I guess if you're trying to compare only the "realistic" drawings of the late 70's/early 80's with only the "fantastic/post-modern/anime/mixed genre" drawings now, then you may have a point. But you have to understand that many of the artists then and...

Do you like the "edgy" 3e art style?

I don't understand your correlation logic here. Can you please explain? Does 3rd edition art look comic book-style to you? I don't know if I necessarily agree if you see some of the more "photographic" look of the illustrations out there (see Tempest in MM2-- awesome!) Fantasy illustrations...

I found my D&D passion again. 1E basic: White Plume Mountain

Very nice post! There's a certain charm about those old adventures, isn't there? The kind that gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling. Not good though because now you're hooked and you'll have to buy all those great modules from the early 80's one-by-one on eBay!
