    Alchemy and Treasure

I'm just taking their cost out of the gold parcels. Looking at it, they've done the same thing in a few places with Potions of Healing.

    Players who want to trap

In Adventurer's Vault, there's an alchemical item (Blastpatch) that's basically a quickset landmine. They're a bit expensive, but they might be a good benchmark if you want to be quick about your trapping. Hmm... Beartrap? +7 vs Reflex, 1d8 damage and slowed (save ends)

    Poll: Drow PC's

I love love love non-standard races, and I would never make it a pain for a player to play one. Which is a shame, because my group all picked PHB races for my current game. Then again, I tailor the setting to what the players want to play - if they wanted to play minotaurs and bugbears, the...

    Warforge in LFR

As shown above, sentient golems are hardly new to FR. If you're not playing RPGA, it's your decision, you can exclude them. If you are playing/running LFR, though, there are numerous already-canon ways to fit a warforged PC in.

Warlord: Knight's Move vs. Aid the Injured

I'm playing a Warlord in a party that also has a Cleric, so I took Knight's Move because we had enough healing. I think KM is a ton of fun, but if you think you need more healing, Aid the Injured is probably better.

    Elemental Tempests and Shocking Flame

I would say "Same Source, doesn't stack." So no, you'd get +2 Fire or +2 Lightning, but not both.

    N00b question about basic attack

Bah! Who needs common sense and taking designer intent into account when there's a point to be made?

Diagonal Movement - Better or Worse?

This deserves to be read and re-read and re-re-read by people still unconvinced that 1:1 speeds up the game immensely.

Questions about Commander's Strike + Sneak Attack

The damage will be 1d6+5. The Int is extra, added onto what you normally get for a basic attack. Yes, if he has Combat Advantage.

    Ecology of the Genasi

And two of the feats turn Earthsoul and Firesoul powers into Reliable powers.

Act of evil? Or just taking out the trash?

Oh, I agree. I don't think an appropriate NPC response should be viewed by you as out-of-game 'punishment' for this behavior particularly. Your shared tale has the chance to become all the more interesting and engrossing for his cruelty.

Act of evil? Or just taking out the trash?

This. Definitely this. These acts are not the acts of a Just, Honorable or Noble person. The church of Bahamut and those who trained him and set him upon his path should definitely tighten the reins and keep a close eye on him, lest his temper and cruelty turn him into a monster. And worse...

    Ability bonuses

This, incidentally, is the same reason why there were no Belts of Strength +1 in 3rd Edition.

D&D 4E When does a 4E Encounter become an Encounter

Because the game has a GM. It's the one thing that all D&D games have, by definition, and all rules discussions that do not take that fact into account are worthless.

Mthrendain Powers Changed in Dragon 366

Also, you have to have the Eldritch Pact class feature, so there's no wibbly-wobbliness with multiclass warlocks.

    Bugbears as PCs balanced??

Well, sure, but it still seems like DM antagonism to allow a 'monstrous' PC and then kick him repeatedly because of his choice. I know I'd never do it.

    Bugbears as PCs balanced??

That sort of attitude rubs me the wrong way. "Oh, yeah, sure, you can play a monster race. If you want to get shanked in the street by a mob with pitchforks." Why not just make the so-called "monster" race a normal part of civilization? You'll have fewer problems and less antagonism between...

    [4th]Minotaur(MM) Fighter + Maul = overkill?

No it's not. They have the same average - 9. The only difference is the brutal axe has smaller variance (6-12 compared to 2-16).

    Which skill to use?

    Insight or History, I'd say.

Vampire Race (Updated: Vampire, Half-Vampire and Feats)

It's "Critique Honestly", and the first place I saw it was on the WotC boards. As for Blood drain, I'd probably clarify it to "you spend a healing surge, gaining the hp and dealing the same amount of damage to the target". Something doesn't feel quite right about allowing it on all creatures...
