TTRPG Genres You Just Can't Get Into -and- Tell Me Why I'm Wrong About X Genre I Don't Like

I ran a Powered by the Apocalypse Dungeon World mini-campaign (9 sessions) and I had a really hard time wrapping my head around the flow of the game. I didn't particularly enjoy it, and didn't have a desire to run it again.

D&D 5E (2014) Which was the most recent Wizards adventure you consider a classic?

Lost Mine of Phandelver qualifies as classic. If you can combine it with Stormspire, you have a whole campaign in the region.

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

I think eventually they will have a full campaign rolled out for purchase, but they need to iron this thing out first, establish price points and how they're going to do microtransactions. Fully painted 3D model monsters is too rich a resource to ignore.

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

I guess they might offer a bundle discount on the two digital products, but the print one will remain its own thing. I also imagine they want to move away from print books and transition to digital. If they can sell maps and models like they did plastic miniatures and plastic props and grids...

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Down the road, post-beta, if you can buy an adventure module for $50 and it has all the 3D maps and assets built in, that would be incentive to switch to this VTT.

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Does it say how big the install is? I don't have much space.

I tried to install this on PC but...nothing happened. I couldn't tell anything installed at all.

D&D 5E (2014) Why Do Higher Levels Get Less Play?

I find balancing fights to be interesting are so much harder when the PCs are demi-gods. Even by 10th level I am pretty much done with D&D. It becomes more "work" than I enjoy doing. At lower levels I can eyeball a battle on the fly and it will work out. Not so with 15th level PCs.

    What's your VTT of choice?

Yeah, that one. Hadn't heard anything in quite some time. It looked....interesting.

Has there been any update on the Wizards VTT in a while?

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

It's Flee Mortals. There's an option to set to SRD ogre, but it defaulted to Flee Mortals in the google search.

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

I took a closer look: it's pulling from the Flee Mortals sourcebook! That explains it. So yes, 3PP.

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

The hit points are low until Defiant Anger kicks in, then all your little low level guys are doing half damage from their mundane weapons.

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

I don't know how it is linked to the Roll20 page though. I thought that sourced official 5e material.

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

For what it's worth, that is an awesome awesome ogre stat block and very thematic. I just don't know where it's sourced from.

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

I just googled 5e ogre and the Roll20 link popped up and THAT was it

D&D General 5e Ogre stat block

This was from Roll20, but this isn't the ogre I remember. Where did this come from? I don't think it's the 2025 ogre either.

Shadow of the Weird Wizard questions

And there's no death saving throw mechanic, so this is the replacement function.

Shadow of the Weird Wizard questions

Okay I was just wanting to know if I was reading it right and I guess I was. It does seem like high level characters would be particularly resistant to death
