The best thing about WFRP is (in my very humble opinion) is the career system, so I was looking forward to a WH40K treatment when Dark Heresy came out… and I was disappointed that DH didn’t present a WH40K version of what was in WFRP 2E. One problem is that Wrath and Glory is a different system to the earlier games. The earlier games are closer to WFRP 2E, Imperium Maledictum closer to WFRP 4E, and W&G is a very different system.

The difference might be in the IP itself. Someone else may already have the rights for anything related to TMNT in PDF format that does not distinguish between a role playing game and another type of media. I think IP rights can get weird in the way they get chopped up and sold off.

I would look elsewhere for Warhammer history and lore if the only reason for buying the 4th edition core rulebook was for those.

If there was to be a new version, it would be a 4.5/revised version. But there is no official word on the matter from C7.

I think it's pretty good. Each game using it has a different implementation that caters to the game's genre. The earliest versions such as Conan are the most clunkiest, but even then Conan is a pretty good "Conan/Sword and Sorcery" game.
