Just something I've always wondered. Why do the druid and cleric get medium bab, better hp, and armor access, while retaining full spellcasting? It's been often said that they were the most powerful class. Take a look at the summoner. Other than summon spells, he casts like a bard for that...

I can sortof see that. Paladin only got the antipaladin, and IMO new domains are not the same as new archetypes. YMMV. Not to mention, the subdomains are basically just new or variant domains, and I can't find a reason to justify not giving them to anyone with domain access, beyond the fact...

I think it's idiotic as well, and even if it is the official ruling, I'll promply remove it from my home games, but it means we'll have to put up with it in PFS if thats the case.

I agree. I have that one. There is something similar in the Pathfinder Bestiary for monster generation. I was just hoping I could easily pick up a 4e Monster book (since there are so many and my FLGS has so many of them, and quickly backconvert them the same way I can quickly convert 3.5 monsters.)

I figured with a CR Converting table I could pick up any 4e MM and just run it on the fly. calculate CMB, and make them roll for saves at -10 (since it isnt a static defense in PFRPG). As opposed to having to rebuild a monster. Would it not be that simple?

Why is it so much work? I was thinking it would only be a matter of: CMB/CMD Saves from Static back to Active and Recalculate CR. I was thinking maybe one just needed a table of 4e CR to PFRPG CR conversion. I mean 4e monsters have per-encounter powers, but it's not so hard to say that...

One of the major conversion points was that nothing costs XP in PFRPG. So for spells, XP Costs became 5x that cost in gold.

Exactly. Why not make use of it if possible? But you can't easily compare those numbers, can you? Does 1 Pathfinder character of a given level have comparable numbers to 1 4e character of a given level? Hit Points? Armor Class? Saves? Damage Output?
