D&D 5E (2014) Any interest in a PbP Out of the Abyss (players or DMs)?

Posting interest! not sure what I'll play yet, but color me curious as to what lies in the underdark. :) I've heard and read a lot of cool things about it, just give me a day or two to decide what I want to play in it :3

D&D 5E (2014) [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

Awesome :). Dwarven fighters are really awesome. +2 Constitution and darkvision stand out for you, as well as being good against poisons and stuff. You have 2 options for subclasses, (I think you have them in the basic rules) The mountain dwarves offer a considerable strength bonus, The armor...

D&D 5E (2014) [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

I'd be willing to help you! What kind of character are you looking to play as? If you have an idea of what you like this could shorten the process significantly :p

I second group initiative. It's simple and well suited for PbP.

D&D 5E (2014) [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

I probably would have taken color spray if it wasn't for the HP limit. At our level it doesn't get me far, much less for an AT. Hideous laughter is also pretty useful, but I'm not sure. I might feel kind of silly making the enemy laugh uncontrollably. I'll consider it.

D&D 5E (2014) [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

Forged Fury, fair points, they are. I may have miscounted my spell selection. I'll pick to replace one of those two spells as soon as I make up my mind which one. I'll try to send a PM your way over minor illusion, though I didn't expect to really depend on it in combat. It's great for utility...

D&D 5E (2014) [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

Posting some degree of interest as an elemental-air themed arcane trickster rogue.your next turn. I would like assume that I would picture my mage hand to be like a hand made of elemental wind. shall I get to work? EDIT: the mechanical bits of the sheet are done. I will like to talk with our...

    A Spooky Open Call

This is all very exciting! The anticipation for any news on the matter is nerve-wracking. Honest question: Do others hear from the editor if they don't make the cut? Nevertheless, Cheers to ENworld for EN5ider and their new record of submissions!

AMA with Monte Cook (Numenera, D&D, Monte Cook Games, Malhavoc Press)

Hi Monte! I'm a more recent fan, I played D&D 3.5 quite a bit, and only really notice your name when you joined (and left) the D&D Next Team. That being said, you say a lot of things about your games that I agree with and really enjoy reading your insights. I got Numenera via the REAL DEAL as a...

Physicist Peter Higgs Answers Your D&D Questions

Poor guy... It sounds to me like they pulled a prank on him or something. :( I don't think it's any less real than a bunch of college students pulling a practical joke on an accomplished scientist, or less real than a D&D book being the closest thing some people might own to a 10th grade...

    Put Your d20 On Trial!

I gotta say that this test taught me a lot about my dice, and confirmed my intuition regarding my my luckier and "bad-luckier" dice (yes, I said it). I tried 7 dice, 5 opaque and 2 clear. Results: Opaque 1 was leaning heavily towards 11, which, balanced or not, I'm used to getting lower rolls...

D&D 5E (2014) The Secret Under the Stairs (IC)

As they were walking towards the town, Terry examines what his newly aged backpack. He felt the leather it was made with. That's as real as leather can get. He rummages though it, everything is old fashioned and strange, though this crystal seems like a nice chain for his (now smaller) neck...

D&D 5E (2014) The Secret Under the Stairs (IC)

TERRY Sorry I've been preoccupied these days... Do I need to roll a check to get more details applicable here? Terry fiddles through what used to be his wallet, having mixed emotions about his pocket change looking different, and more valuable, yet still not feeling like real walking-around...

D&D 5E (2014) The Secret Under the Stairs (IC)

"Mom and Bella right - the sooner we find a town, the sooner we can find this hotel, and maybe later we can find someone who knows how to make me and dad big again." Terry smiled, somewhat missing an important point.

D&D 5E (2014) The Secret Under the Stairs (IC)

As Terry returned with everyone, he smiled. "Sorry, guys, I won't let it happen again." he dismissed the issue of his disappearance most casually. Hesitant to clap his hands together out of habit, his arms retreat when he remembers the events that nearly unfolded in the woods."So, uhh... Uncle...

D&D 5E (2014) The Secret Under the Stairs (IC)

TERRY CARROLL, PACTMAKER He feels the surge of magic surging through his body, just ever so subtly emanating from his fingers like the invisible, reverie-like fumes on an asphalt road. He felt as awe-inspiring and powerful as the first time his won a football game. It was intoxicating...
