Thanks, Fluffy, I'll keep that in mind.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Player's Handbook Video Redactions & Takedowns

Perhaps I am one of only a few who find it odd that anyone would think that being delivered an early version of a book for promotional purposes would entitle that person to systematically reveal many pages of the book in video or photographic format? I recall Wizards of the Coast making the...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

I can help Mistwell out here: At 42:47 of the following Youtube review, both Chris and Colby, who host the channels Treantmonk's Temple and D4 Deep Dive respectively, rate the new Player's Handbook as having 4.5 stars out of a 5 star system that Chris creates: Both Chris and Colby have been...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

I still feel as Skid Ace articulated himself. Like Skid, I am adopting the revision. I have come around and I am glad that instead of reinventing the wheel, Wizards of the Coast is revising the fifth edition ruleset and focusing on how the game is presented. I hope that this is the attitude...

This is pretty much how I feel. The constant changing of rules is such a drag.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

Hi Ezekiel, Well, I can unbaffle you, at least concerning my little experience. I enjoy a story-based game. The group I was playing with (I was a player not the DM), instead, came to the table assuming that the game is a sequence of combats strung together with some semblance of character...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

If this is true, it would be disappointing to me. I notice that much of the conversation both here and from Youtubers reviewing and discussing the revisions obsesses over combat and (often) optimization. If, when the book is in hand and being used at the table, the feel of the game is that it is...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

The thinking is to make the saving throw the uniform roll made to resist effects or conditions. So, whereas the 2014 version of grapple was fine, the idea is that the new version is also fine but contributes to a more consistent logic throughout the game system.

    D&D 5E (2024) Reworked…revised…redone….but

This is entirely sane and reasonable...as has been Snarf's expressions along the line of "why is this still a conversation topic?" Arguing about what the new books are called (especially when there is an obvious motivation to make it clear that third party material and earlier material...

Dude, I am sorry about that. These kinds of financial disagreements and arguments within families are a real shame. I hope that you and your mother can keep your equipoise as you navigate it.

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

From my perspective, the paladin has been a spellcaster since its appearance in the 1978 Player's Handbook. I do not have familiarity with how it appeared in the 1975 Greyhawk D&D supplement. Therefore, I would prefer that the paladin be kept a caster. I am (increasingly more reluctantly) able...

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

I would like to see Wizards of the Coast publish different role-playing games. For now, their attention is rightly directed to D&D, but I agree with Micah that it would be nice to see some diversification in their catalogue and, given their influence, it would be great for new role-players to...

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

He has repeatedly used the term "the herd" to refer to those who see the 2024 revisions as an improvement and want to adopt them. He has also used the term "fall in line" to refer to that adoption. Both of these terms are examples of emotive rhetoric and are pejorative in character and do in...

The ability to use the adventure path books and setting books (subclasses excepted) smoothly along with the 2024 core rulebooks with no need for a reprinting or new edition of those books. I have presumed all along that there will be a subsequent book due out in 2025 or 2026 that will...
