At higher levels, yes. But not at level 2. Your AC is basically the same either way, no real bonus. Multiattack won't stack. Primal Stike doesn't work with unarmed attacks. Deflect Attacks work with THP, but it's just added and not multiplied. Dex is likely lowered in beast form (maybe?)...

    D&D 5E (2024) Armor as THP?

Moving tales effort. It drains your stamina (HP). It's not like PCs can be "hit" by a sword multiple times. HP isn't how many chunks of flesh can be carved off of you. No. This is to simplify, not complicate.

    D&D 5E (2024) Armor as THP?

They stack. I guess I could say 'increase max HP' instead of armor points. Have you ever actually missed when you swung a sword at something? No. It's been blocked or dodged, but that's effort of the targets part. But mostly it's just extra rolling that slows the game down.

Moon druid isn't as OP at low levels anymore. Which means dipping isn't as powerful. Otherwise it still works. In some ways nicer.

    D&D 5E (2024) Armor as THP?

I'm sure some features would need tweaks. Defensive Duelist for instance. You repair it when you rest. Think it should be short rest recharge? Thought about that too, but that makes single big hits (rogue) better than a lot of small hits (dual wielding). The goal is that if they can take 10...

    D&D 5E (2024) Armor as THP?

One of my biggest pet peves about D&D is rolling to hit and then rolling for damage. So what if Armor was just a form of THP? All attacks always hit. THP first, Armor Points Second, HP third Armor points are (AC-10)* your level, regained after a long rest. (Dis)advantage means rerolling damage...

D&D 5E (2024) Martials: damage scaling like cantrips?

That was the intent. It's kind of like complaining that Balders Gate 3 4.1.1.3622274 is the only true game. And Balders Gate 3 4.1.1.6758295 is a completely different game and every wiki and fan site should acknowledge they are separate them. And Larian making it hard to download the original...

D&D 5E (2024) [Houserule] If Sabre was a new weapon type, what should it's mastery property be?

The real world point of a saber, and similar curves swords, was less likely to get stuck. Thus I suggest a new mastery. Skirmish You no not provoke opportunity attacks form the target until the end of your turn. Otherwise I'd vote for slow.

D&D General Rangers should be built on a primary and secondary stat

IMO if your going to do that, might as well make it the whole system. And spells/features require a minimum attribute to cast. I.e. Hunters Mark take 1 Wisdom. Crossbows take 1 Dex Longbows take 2 Dex Trick shots take 3 Dex. Fireball takes 3 Intelligence. Dominate Person is 6 Charisma. Action...

It also takes more time to roll all that. And of course, you can split the difference. Paladins get 2 attacks and +1d8 per attack.

D&D 5E (2024) Martials: damage scaling like cantrips?

Yes. Mainly, you get to add your ability modifier to damage for weapon attacks. So instead of 2d8, you get 1d8+4+1d8+4. And they added extra effects to weapons in 2024 via weapon masteries. So you can push, topple, slow, ect... and you can do it twice. Yes. You dealt 2|W| damage, or 2 times...

D&D 5E (2024) It Is 2025 And Save Or Suck Spells Still Suck (the fun out of the game)

Just to toss out a more 5e compatible option, which was already used at least on one monster (hydra? Etten?) Bosses get multiple turns. I.e. initiative -5 and initiative -15. With a saving throw at the start of each of them. Thus if you land Stun, they lose 1/3 of their damage.

D&D 5E (2024) What battlemaster maneuver would you allow to be used at-will, if any, but without adding die roll to the effect of it?

At higher levels, sure. 1 extra attack isn't that much compared to 3 with action surge and such. But at low levels, even without a shield, you're looking at maybe a 50% damage bump. And it doesn't interfere with anything else. Your a front line fighter. You will me attacks and missed pretty...
