If you're looking for versatility, there's really only one way to go. Take the arcane preperation feat, and go for Mage of the Arcane Order (in Tome and Blood). Access to the spellpool grants your sorcerer all of the miscelaneous spells the wizard gets, allowing you to take all the combat...
I'm planning on playing a Psion in my friend's new level 5 campaign, since I just got the expanded psionic's handbook. However, I'm pretty new to psionics, so I'm not sure which feats or powers to take. The character has to be Human. Thanks for your help.
It gives you +4 to all your spell DCs that don't do damage/ability damage/kill. So it's perfect for a buffing/enchantment wizard or sorcerer that won't be tossing fireballs around too often. Plus, IIRC you CAN deal subdual damage, just not lethal damage. And there's a meta magic feat that...
Well then, what if I could order the monster to deal subdual damage instead of normal damage? Or if I used nonlethal substitution so it could only do subdual damage (pretty sure nonlethal substitution no worky with summon spells tho).
Ok, one more question then... some of the upper leveled creatures in the summoned list are sentient, and can cast divine spells that will aid the party. I know I can order them not to attack... but if I do so, and they continue to attack anyway, am I responsible for their attacking?
Hi, I'm new here, this place looks really cool.
Are there any chat games going on right now? As a general rule, I don't play E-mail or Play by Post games, as I find them to be too slow natured, but I do enjoy AIM games.
Actually, a reach cure minor wounds would be great for a cleric. Everybody only uses cure minor wounds for stabilizing anyway, with this you can do it from a range. Sounds like a good fit to me, and it'll get even better as you progress through levels.
HUZZAH!
Welcome Rusty!
Anyway, that sure sounded like one tough fight! Once again, your group's formidible tactics and min/maxing were able to pull you through. I'm constantly shocked by what you guys overcome with good tactics.
I WANNA WWCD WRISTBAND!
I'd say the feats you want to take would be Extra Rage, Weapon Focus, Power Attack, Cleave, and maybe Great Cleave.
On the other hand you could focus more on the Cleric and only get Extra Rage, getting various feats to invrease your spellcasting (Spell Focus, Metamagic, ect.)
^^
That last segment warmed my heart JollyDoc, I know that's how Pez would have wanted to go out.
As usual, excellent writing and tough combats. For a second there I thought we might be facing a TPK.
Magic Circle of Ritalin... lol
Oh and I'm not completely srue what the celestial template...
I for one never saw the Captain's reaction to Mossfoot coming. It's pretty stereotypical for mossy to meet up with his old buddy and they go into a 4 strip-flashback about the good old days, but you never fell into that trap. It was a good strip on the concept of hero-worship and what happens...
But, if Pez knows that by dying for his friends he can be redeemed, doesn't this cheapen his sacrifice? If he knows that the only thing he gets for dying is a free pennance, isn't this not a sacrifice at all?
Well, there's always raise dead to bring back the dwarven population :)
EDIT: oohhhh, master of min/maxing comes back again! What is that apostle of peace class? Where can I get it? I also wonder how the exalted deeds thing works. Does this mean you cannot cast any spells that do damage...
