I work with a Gary. He's a nice guy but I'm not sure that he ever published any game rules. So were probably not talking about the same Gary.

Maybe Wotc doesn't release sales information because they know that our need to be right about this sort of things keeps us angry and engaged. :unsure:

I've been playing on and off since 1988....we've never held a game together longer than maybe 9th level. Scheduling is usually the enemy. That and when the last original PC dies, we usually call it quits. Game your own game my friends.

That's an interesting premise.

I would ask the player what it is that they are hiding from and how they are hiding.

Isn't the question why would you roll to attack a door if there is no tension or time constraint?

Would you make a PC roll for chopping firewood?

I just don't find hiding or stealth or being sneaky as valuable as everyone else does. Maybe I'm just D&Ding wrong. :unsure:

My favorite edition is the edition that everyone agrees to play at any given moment. 🥳 I guess that makes my second favorite all of the other ones.
