4ed PDFs - Are you still getting the books?

Dude.. not to get into TMI, but Laptop + small table in bathroom == ?

The guy who leaked the Core Books was a:

I informed my local group that the PDFs were up, I don't know if they did or not.. mysteriously all four of them told me they had added orders on amazon and started asking me about what builds I was going to approve and when we would start. Two weeks ago they were flipping me off when I...

    D&D 4E Ninjas and 4e

hmm would a rogue / warlock be able to pull off "I'm a ninja" story wise -- small teleports, vanish from sight, stabitiness... thoughts?

Warlock with Paladin Multiclass Feat grouped with Warrior

What is particular ironic about this -- Action points that can be spent for additional actions let you do stuff like this for cinematic effect. Swing in, grab the princess (move / standard) AP (standard, used to move, and there, you did it.) 4e is (so far at least) proving you exactly wrong...

    Dragonbon are?

Woo! Boobs? --- I think they've developed them so that dragonborn females can fit in generic femal magical armor. :D Boob-bumps and all.

Warlock with Paladin Multiclass Feat grouped with Warrior

Can I bet you 10$ that this is blatantly untrue a year from now?

    Dragonbon are?

Silly -- but I have a player who's jonesing to play one, so I guess I for one welcome the arrival of our new PC overlords.

Warlock with Paladin Multiclass Feat grouped with Warrior

Coming to a dnd forum to bash nerds. Really? Wow. What a superior life form you must be.

Warlock with Paladin Multiclass Feat grouped with Warrior

Not just legal -- but AWESOME. 1) This would only work against solo encounters unless the party's tank and off-tank are both going on the same mob, leaving the rest of the party to control the other 1+number of party members other than the 2 doing this trick that are in the standard encounter...

    GameSpy Reviews D&D Insider

If they paid for it, I doubt it would have ended with "Although we recognize that Wizards is putting a lot out with this software, the price point seems really steep at the moment. Perhaps we'll see a reconsideration of the price before Insider launches." "Not worth the price" isn't advertising.

    GameSpy Reviews D&D Insider

Scott, er.. sorry, Mr. The Rouse rather :), Can I bug you about these: 1) can ya'll look at splitting the online content up into separate subscriptions. I have no use for Dragon or Dungeon (personally) but I would love to use the rules tool, and the online tabletop. However, if it comes down...

Are you bothering to read DUNGEON anymore? (and level index)

Format is useless. I hate their website. I hate the layout. I hate the tiny font of the index menus that I can't read easily. I hate that they can't give Dungeon and Dragon a full page. It's not that much to ask. If I really need a module, I might brave the site long enough to find what I...

    swarm of minions attack!

Right ... but they're still kobolds. They breed like rats -- but they're dumb as a post in combat. That's the whole trick isn't it?

    swarm of minions attack!

er .. . you could have them not focus their fire. I mean, they ARE kobolds. If all kobolds fought like that, they wouldn't be just kobolds anymore.

    swarm of minions attack!

-- I have no idea what's in the full rules -- you can always make one up (say, by rolling for groups of 4 at a time). I was planning exactly that encounter (24 kobold minions) as the second or third combat for my 4e campaign. I want to give the players a "basic-by-the-book" combat or two before...

Voice chat? Any info on this?

Vent? Huh? my guild and I still use TeamSpeak with WoW -- no tabbing required. What's wrong with Vent? On point -- I don't expect we'll see a working tabletop tool. It's all vaporware from here.

    D&D 4E Interrupting spell-casting in 4e

I think we'll have to wait until we see a more complete listing of what powers can do. Maybe there are counter-spell powers? Given that the powers we've seen are all single-action (cast it, use it, done), there may not be interupts. (but we can always make them for monsters)

Important! Interview opportunity - what do you want to know about the GSL?

"Who set the priorities for the GSL?" "How much intereference was there in the formation of the GSL from Hasbro?"

D&D 4E Standing Guard in 4e...no rest for you?

If they don't I will. I see alot of these problems as so easily house-ruled into oblivion (if they're not addressed in the rules) that I wonder why we bother with them? Or, better, (with warning to the players that this is so) alter the result to better fit the story. >shrug< They're just...

    D&D 4E Does 4E fix the 5-minute workday?

I don't predict a very serious problem with this. Like 3.5, Dailys are basically memorized spells. Cast one and it's gone. You save up the big effects for the big bad guys. 4e even clues you into which monsters are worthy of your daily powers -- elites and solo mobs. Its certainly true that...
