No one survives the (1e) Tomb of Horrors unless they have read the mod. That's why there are something like 20 pregens included with the mod. Also, 5e Heroes Feast might make the poison saves (immunity) much easier for the players.

Probably more than that. WotC had fun booths in the 2000s. I would play all the demos and see what new games WotC was putting out. I can learn all of this myself, but its fun to watch or have someone play Hecatomb or Star Wars minis with you and explain the game for 5 minutes.

In a game I was running recently, the PCs decided to go to the astral plane in pursuit of some major magic items. The astral monsters I used were 80% psychic damage monsters. As you can imagine, two PCs were very unhappy with this turn of events.

Can you just scrap the standard damage resistance and instead change it to damage resistance vs piercing (magic does not overcome). It does not change the CR of the monster.
