Jess Lanzillo Joins White Wolf as Creative Director

This is correct; Pugmire is part of Onyx Path, not White Wolf. And since White Wolf produced the current WoD in house, the only RPG line Onyx Path now produce under license from White Wolf is Exalted. Personally, I'm really looking forward to Onyx Path's forthcoming Curseborne RPG.

    AD&D 1E Atheist cleric situation...

I'd say that it depends on your setting.

Do you remember your first RPG purchase?

Red Box Basic, as did so many of us. Though it wasn't my first fantasy gaming product; that honour goes to Warhammer 1st edition (with the hammer-wielding Chaos Warrior on the cover).

D&D 5E (2024) Should a general Adventurer class be created to represent the Everyman?

Sometimes being second or third best in nearly everything is its own special ability. That's just me hazarding a guess as to what Minigiant is angling for though. 🤷‍♂️ It's the old "specialist" vs. "generalist" argument.

D&D 5E (2024) Should a general Adventurer class be created to represent the Everyman?

I think your use of the "Everyman" moniker is potentially misleading when I think you're more interested in a generalist Adventurer class. Not a specialist in anything inasmuch as they likely possess a broad raft of abilities that enable them to survive in the varied "adventuring environment."...

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

I voted no, not that WotC actually produce anything that interests me. I am even more vehemently against the use of AI Art and Writing in the case of companies such as WotC than in regard to smaller publishers, because the bigger companies can afford to pay creative folks. While I don't agree...

    CMON Games In Trouble

More bad news, sadly: Final Frontiers Games Shuts Down What does this have to do with CMON? Here's the relevant section of the article:

    CMON Games In Trouble

I almost went for the Assassin's Creed RPG pre-order, but couldn't afford it at the time. I don't know where they manufacture their minis and components, but if it's China, the tariff trade war will also hit hard.

    CMON Games In Trouble

Looks like CMON, the folks behind a LOT of boardgames, as well as the Zombicide RPG, Assassin's Creed RPG, Marvel Multiverse RPG Starter Set, and who purchased the Broken Compass RPG from Two Little Mice, are in trouble. According to THIS article on GamesRadar, and THIS article on wargamer.com...

Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

Weird. Not even for the Ranger's animal companions? What about a decent pic of the character sheet?

Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

Can anyone share a monster stat block or pregen PC? Curious how precisely it maps to 5e.

D&D General Do you track ammunition?

Like I'm sure others in the thread will have noted, I use Usage Dice for such limited resources. It keeps an element of scarcity and dwindling resources without finicky and tedious bean counting. If anyone doesn't know what it is, it works thusly: The limited resource (in this case arrows) has...

DriveThruRPG Print-on-Demand Prices Going Up By As Much As 50% In The US

I wonder how this will impact DTRPG's PoD partner in Australia?

D&D General Languages suck in D&D.

I think the biggest differences in approach will be down to one single factor: How much simulationism the GM and table actually want and how much said simulation has a meaningful and most importantly fun (however you define it) impact on play. For me and my groups, for example, we're in it...

D&D General Religion in D&D: Your Take

I find faith and religion and philosophy far more interesting than deities, and although D&D has taken some (in my opinion awkward) steps to separate clerics and paladins from the assumption of gods, I'm not sold on how they've done it. It very much still feels, in my opinion, that there is an...

D&D General Languages suck in D&D.

In my own RPG, I ditched languages entirely because they are rather pointless in 99% of cases; a list that exists to provide the illusion of verisimilitude. For an RPG as streamlined as Against Darkness Triumphant, going all-in on languages would also not fit anyway. Because everyone speaks...

D&D General One Page Dungeon Contest 2020 PDF?

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

So, are we still likely looking at April before we see the results of the oral argument? And if it goes against the odious toad (as it should) does that finally bring an end to his loathsome legal shenanigans?

Invincible RPG Announced by Free League

I am genuinely intrigued, though I hope it avoids going with mats-n-minis and highly-specific movement rates, not just because I don't like 'em (which I admittedly don't) but because if there's one genre that makes 'em mostly pointless, it's supers. When one character can teleport across a city...

Checking the Geology of a Map

The yellow hexes along the southern coast of the map are just major beaches. Those along the edge of the badlands/desert are scrub. Thanks for the feedback; I'll tweak the river/lake system. The blackened land is a vast Deadland, and you are correct, it is blighted by the undead and their...
