    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Domains

Don't forget Peace and Love, man! Give Peace and Love a chance! ;) More seriously, they are big divine concepts. Perhaps they can even be combined (so charm magic, soothing magic, etc.). I agree r.e. Water/Sea and an Earth/Cavern domain (the latter also ideal for mining deities).

    D&D 5E (2014) Clerical Domains You'd Like To See

Yeah, I think most of us want to avoid the domain glut of 3e but there are definitely some big concepts not really covered or done justice to via the existing domains. Looking at the suggestions above, we get: Artifice/Craft Chaos Darkness Fate/Fortune/Misfortune Fire Law Love Music Pain Peace...

New Weapons Help - Weighted Chain, Military Flail, Repeating Crossbow, etc.

The final version does have less range than the light crossbow or shortbow, lacks the Loading quality (to reflect rapid fire for a crossbow), and does take 1 action to load each bolt into the hopper. Originally it was going to only do 1d6 damage too (like the hand crossbow and shortbow) but that...

    D&D 5E (2014) Katar Monks viable?

There is one compelling reason to have a second katar: it looks amazing. ;) Besides, given that the unarmed attacks can just as easily be kicks, etc. it's not like you necessarily need the second hand free. Plus, if you really don't want to touch the critter you're beating on, and you get...

    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Domains

FWIW, I don't think they should go the route of domains for everything like they did in the past, but there are some pretty big divine concepts, found in practically every pantheon (real and imagined) that simply weren't covered such as darkness, love, music, peace, etc.

    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Domains

Personally, I don't feel that the existing domains necessarily do justice to all of the concepts you've combined above. The Life domain seems more about healing, fighting undead, etc. than it does about love, for example, which you'd expect to be more inclined to spells and abilities of charm...

    D&D 5E (2014) Clerical Domains You'd Like To See

So, the PHB gives us Knowledge, Life, Light, Nature, Tempest, Trickery, and War and so far we know that the DMG gives us Death too. That still leaves a lot of potentially large divine portfolios not covered, so what 10 clerical domains would you like to see added to the game? I'd like...

    D&D 5E (2014) Katar Monks viable?

For the katar I'd use shortsword stats, so it's perfectly viable. Both are piercing, bladed weapons of the same relative length, and the shortsword is classified as a "monk weapon" too. "Unarmed attacks" are just that, "unarmed attacks" so yes, that covers punches, kicks, headbutts, elbow and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

And here's the Mancatcher (based on the Kuo-Toa Pincer Staff in the MM), Military Flail, and Repeating Crossbow: Martial Melee Weapons Man Catcher 20 gp 1d6 piercing 6 lb. Heavy, reach, special, two-handed On a successful attack, a Medium or smaller creature is grappled (escape DC 14). Until...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

And now the Martial Weapons. Note, I included the Mancatcher, Military Flail, and Repeating Crossbow of my own creation in there. If you don't like 'em, just remove those entries when you cut and paste. Martial Melee Weapons Flail - / Chijiriki Glaive Chan (Monk’s Spade), Kwan Dao (General...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

I feel it does more damage than a whip (as well as doing different damage and weighing and costing more).

New Weapons Help - Weighted Chain, Military Flail, Repeating Crossbow, etc.

Easily sorted with a tweak to the description above. To my mind, Great Weapon Fighter is not really intended to work with such light/finesse weapons (it's obviously more of a "hit really hard with a big weapon" thing), but I can account for it now, thanks. After all, the only reason the Meteor...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

It sounds like you may be referring to the Japanese tetsubo (which will use Maul rules). The Chan Zhang (Monk's cudgel) is this:

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

Here's an example of one of the new Martial Weapons not really covered by equivalencies: Meteor Hammer 5 gp 1d6 bludgeoning or piercing 4 lb. Finesse, reach, two-handed The meteor hammer (liu xing chui) is a length of slender chain around 3-4 yards in length, weighted at one or both...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

While I'm compiling the Martial Weapon Equivalencies I came across a few extra weapons and tweaks that I've added/made to the Simple Weapons list above (such as the Gunbai and Tessen).

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

Indeed. It's a blunted metal bar used much like a club or tonfa. Could it pierce flesh? Undoubtedly, but so can many bludgeoning weapons including tapering staffs, knobbly clubs and maces, flanged maces, etc. Doesn't make them piercing weapons (unlike the often heavily-spiked morning star). It's...

    D&D 5E (2014) Asian Monk Weapon Equivalents

No, it was mainly a bludgeon, a metal baton/truncheon. The central bar was rarely pointed.
