This is pretty sweet!

FATAL is the worst because of the general offensiveness as well as the fact that it is a complex mess. Say what you want about HOL but it is not all that difficult to understand to play. You would spend a year just trying to figure out FATAL.

You could probably do things cheaply if you are willing to have some patience and willing to drop about 100 bucks. First, find a site that sells single minis (assuming you are willing to buy the D&D prepainted). Go through there and find ones you would actually use (major bad guys and PCs)...

Sadly, I never recall an RPG that had great long term success that was tied in with a series of movies. I think that it may have something to do with people feeling that they are tied to the setting's doctrine or set characters.

This country must - by any means possible - rise up and insist that Gary Gygax write a series of d20 Grayhawk moduals in the classic flare of the original material.

I'm sure that the winners will be great judges. A bunch of people don't win such a prestigious honor (and it IS prestigious) without the rest of us maintaining trust in them.

Its just self-published. I figured that Lulu was not the actual publisher but it was as close as I could find. There is absolutely no inside flap information.

I'd love to see more adventures produced but I have my limits. TSR had so many great classics that were so much fun but then they just dumped all kinds of lame ones on us. What would be really great is if the adventures they produced were somewhat multipurprosed in the sense that the stuff...

Here is the kind of thing I do: when running a published adventure I go through the thing and see what NPCs interest me or which ones would be a lot of fun to play (as well as show up a lot). I tryto do some foreshadowing or create a personal hook for one of the characters (or more than one if...

Whereas I have never done the 'mirror image' villains, I did pull a stunt once where the characters had their bodies switched with villains and they had to actually fight their own characters (who were posssessed by bad guys). That went over rather well.

Truthfully, I like the sound of it. Though I guess you could take any game you already had and add in a 'religious horror' theme to it, couldn't you?

It seems so wrong to just ban discussion of a product on the company's website. I'm not even sure why they care if people trash them or not. I guess some egos must have been seriously damaged.
