They're such a fun class to play. Sure, they get shafted on skill points (they really do deserve 6/level), but they're a ton of fun to play, especially in a small group where the 'jack-of-all-trades' concept shines. My advice to the bard-haters: Don't max out any skills, except 'perform.'...

Great call! I love Paladins, and I love that freaking cartoon! I had a character in 2E years ago like that. He was a Paladin with the Samurai Kit. Tons of fun!

I was thinking of a cold/ice based spell list. My DM would allow me to modfy some current spells into cold based (Magic Missile will look like icicles, for example)

Think about it: They're stuck with just as many SP's as the Wizard, yet the Wizard is supposed to be spending all his time locked up in some tower or academy learning his spells, while the Sorcerer is supposed to have his powers come naturally, leaving all that free time to do other things...

Wow! Great advise! I was wondering, what, and in what order, are the 'must have' 1st and 2nd level spells? Is it a good idea to go with Gnome as opposed to Human? Do the extra cantrips outweigh the extra feat?

Just to let you know, I'm usually into fantasy books, like Arthurian tales or Lord Of the Rings, ect. I've never read a book about ninja or samurai, and I think it might be an interesting twist. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance.
