    Jericho - anyone still watching?

yup...looks like I'll have little to watch next fall. I just don't understand CBS's thinking. The show was doing well until they put it up against American Idol. So they cancel Jericho? Why not move it? Mondays at 8 would be good....it would have served as a lead in to Heroes. Yes, I know...

    Dragonlance Thoughts

I agree, Cam. Quite cordial....did I use that word correctly? Haven't even THOUGHT of that word since I took my SATs. At any rate, I think Cam and Company have done a tremendous job on the Dragonlance Campaign Path. To me, its the WORST thing about MWP productions losing the Dragonlance...

    Dragonlance Thoughts

My brother-in-law was in town and joined our regular as a guest one night. He played a gully dwarf barbarian named Fern (Fern Gully Dwarf...if you don't get it I ain't explainin'). Any way, he made it a great character and had lots of fun running right into battle without regard to any...

    Dragonlance Thoughts

One thing that gets brought up frequently is the idea of "railroading" in Dragonlance. In the original modules, the players were supposed to hit certain points in the story and succeed or (as I've seen it termed) the war is lost and evil rules all. I never played those original modules so I...

    Jericho - anyone still watching?

I bet we'll see it next week....with Deus ex Machina emblazened across its side. :) I was a bit curious about the preview for the season finale. It showed a clip from an earlier episode where the school teacher (can't remember her name) was at the swap meet. She looks up at the flag which has...

Gencon 2007 Event Catalog is Up

Well...here it is...the event catalog for GenCon 2007: http://community.gencon.com/files/24/default.aspx I wonder how many ballrooms WotC will need for any announcements or QnA sessions. :)

    Familiars, Useful?

In one of the campaigns I play in, one of the other players has a wizard with a cat familiar. We ran into a dungeon with a locked door guarded from inside by bugbears. My changeling got them to open the "porthole" in the door. I trued to bluff them into opening the door but it wasn't working...

Is it ok to be mad at Wotc?

I don't know if I'm even angry with them anymore. Oh sure...baseball bat to the winshield when all this broke, but not now. I'm more disappointed. They seem not to really know what they are doing with all of this. I'm not saying that's how it really IS...but that's the appearance. I do HOPE...

Interview with Scott Rouse, Chris Perkins & Bill Slavicsek

Here is something that just occurred to me...and I don't think its been addressed yet. Of course I could be wrong given the metric crap load of posts in the wake the wake of the recent WotC actions. One complaint about the magazines, books and adnventures is that only one person in a gaming...

    Discuss the WotC Interview

I don't know...I found the statement about Dragonlance very interesting: Scott: No decisions have been made regarding the Dragonlance license, and we don’t discuss the details of ongoing negotiations. That ALMOST sounds like they are shopping Dragonlance around. Is there another reason not to...

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

The Dragonlance mini is Raistlin. This has been planned a long time. I first heard aboud it at last years GenCon.

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Already done! MWP released a 3.5 conversion of the original modules that comprise Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Its EXCELLENT. I've used it as a quick through together night of fun when our original game just couldn't be played...for whatever reason.

    What WotC licenses remain?

Sure you can bring it back. Magazines have died and brought back before. Will it be as successful as before? That's the real question.

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Sorry I wasn't making myself clear....I didn't mean that WotC could withdraw the OGL. I don't know if they can. To be honest, I've never read the fine print in the license. :\ I meant that WotC would try to make it "irrelevant" by pushing 4th Ed. Don't think its possible? How many people play...

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Who else is out there? Ravenloft has already reverted. Dark Sun and BirthRight exist solely as web sites. Greyhawk never left. Anything Else?

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Not to sound hysterical or anything, but is this all the pre-cursor to an all out assault on D20, OGL, and the SRD in preparation for 4th Ed?
