Yup...Peterson....I'm sorry he wasn't on there more often. Unfortunately, Lister stopped having "flashbacks" after the first season...although he did go back in time once or twice. :D

His style is pretty much locked. Nothing sparking or screaming "NEW." Talk to him if you get the chance, though. I met him at Gencon. Great guy with some fantastic stories.

Something from the late 70's/early 80's...I'm not sure what it was called, but I think it was Phoenix. About an alien awakened from his sarcophagus on earth too early. He was searching for his girlfriend/wife/mate or something like that. He had a medallian that let him shoot rays or something.

The Elminster mini given out at Ed Greenwood's Roast is sweet. Regular and epic stat cards are included. Ed was nice enough to sign mine. :)

My first character is technically still alive also. He's a 5th level Sorcerer and has been stuck in a mammoth cave system since the DM decided he really didn't want to play anymore. Its OK...all the other PCs were dead by this time. It was only me and my squirrel familiar.

Sword and the Soceror Hot chicks, tall evil bad guy and tri-bladed sword....how can you go wrong. :)

I recognized Star Wars, Belgariad, and Dragonriders of Pern as influences. Also, many of the place names are straight out of Tolkien's Simarillion. Not a bad read, but redundant if you've read a lot of Fantasy.

Scotty was the best. Yes...I know he was a character, but MAN James Doohan brought him to life. Doohan was also an accomplished voice acter. And he had the best Scottish accent. :) I'll miss him.

The first book in the Shadowmarch series is very much like the first book of Memory Sorrow and Thorn in style. Things happen, but they lack urgency. He sets up the world, introduces the main characters, and make you feel like you are "there." I expect the next book will really begin to...

The Otherland series by Tad Williams. That will give you something to do for a few months. Its 4 REALLY big books. Good read though.
