    Dwarven Defender Elves

They try to apply *physics* to a completely unrealistic concept such as magic? Weirdos. ;) However, as I said above, only the part where it mentions multiclassing is really a suggestion. The rest is pretty cut and dry. However, I'll say that I'll bend on my previous statement for the character...

    Dwarven Defender Elves

Would that "Devoted Defender" part even matter though, given what's stated in the spell description? I'd give you that losing the "dwarf" racial part would likely qualify for that part of the description that says "It’s possible for the change in the subject’s ability scores to make it...

My game ended. Give me campaign ideas.

Yeah... this link was posted in another thread. It has many of the campaigns there, along with websites for most, if not all.

Question about 1st edition Exceptional Strength...

I believe it's my 1977 version of the blue/white rulebook rules says that dwarves can be fighting men or thieves (or it could be the 1979 version... I can't remember). However, the module gives halfling thieves as well, even though none of the rules I've seen allow that, and they had elf...

    Dwarven Defender Elves

Actually, by the SRD quote I made above, he's wrong... reincarnation does not affect your class in any way, except reducing your by a level. Now, if he only had one level in Dwarven Defender, then he'd lose it, but if he was higher than Dwarven Defender 1, he'd keep whatever left-over levels he...

Question about 1st edition Exceptional Strength...

I was looking at my In Search of the Unknown module today, and there's the stats for an NPC dwarven fighter in the back who has exceptional strength. and this was the first printing of the module, so it existed even then, even though the rules weren't in the basic boxed set it came with (the...

What do you miss about AD&D 1e?

One where not many people drink Mt Dew. heheh. ;) It's a fairly retarded rule, I'll admit. I have no idea, but at some point in the past, someone ruled that soft drinks must classify as "Colas" in order to have caffeine... so the classic colas, plus Dr Pepper and Barq's Rootbeer can get away...

What do you miss about AD&D 1e?

Mt. Dew isn't even the drink of choice up here, since it doesn't have caffeine... non-cola drinks aren't allowed to have caffeine in them, by Canadian food standards. Barq's rootbeer barely qualifies. heh.

What do you miss about AD&D 1e?

Playing d6 Star Wars with beer was lots of fun, but I've never played D&D with it. Coke and pizza and chips were the consumables of choice. heh.

    Dwarven Defender Elves

I'm with Sejs. This would be a dwarf mind in the body of an elf. So, he would have all the physical aspects of the elf... +2 dex, -2 Con, immunity to sleep effects, +2 vs enchantments, +2 to search, spot and listen, low light vision... but he wouldn't get the weapon proficiencies, or bonuses...

Suggestions for removing minor material components?

Well, I guess since the components are put in there for a balancing factor, so that a cleric isn't firing off 10 True Resurrection spells in a row without some cost (or the PCs going and getting these on a regular basis from their church)... maybe make these spells only useable with a certain...

Original Campaigns from Wizards Campaign Creation contest

I just remember the entry forms and legal documents stating that all entries become the property of WotC. At the time, I thought it a cunning move on Wizard's part to pick the brain of the collective consumer-base in order to get more ideas for products. However, I might have been off in my...

Original Campaigns from Wizards Campaign Creation contest

Didn't Wizard's legal documents claim ownership of all campaigns entered in the contest? How did Kennan get Morningstar published? Did he buy back the rights, or did Goodman Games do so? I'm curious.

Guiness, Sleeman Honey Brown and Dark, Kirin Ichiban, Sapporo. Tenants was pretty good too, but we can't get it here.

What do you miss about AD&D 1e?

Hmph... okay, that's a good point... I kinda jumped the gun on that one... Anyone know the origin for the D&D style elves? I've often wondered why most descriptions of elves are tall and graceful, but in D&D they're short.

What do you miss about AD&D 1e?

You know what else I miss? Hobbit-like halflings... these 3e pseudo-kender bother me. I guess they wanted to move away from the tolkien roots, but why not change elves and dwarves too if that's the reason, they're from tolkien roots too? There was no reason to change them... this gypsy-fication...

    balanced lvl 0 tiefling?

Well, according to the Savage Species book, the only thing making a Tiefling +1 LA is that it doesn't have balanced stats. So, if you rebalance the stat adjustments, everything else works out. Taking away the initial +2 dex and then have them proceed as a level 1 humanoid rather than a PC class...
