Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order(Full)

Well, if he dies, as long as he does so in the service of the empire... and he takes Dralon down with him. ;)

    How do you pronounce "Drow"?

Right off the Wizards website D&D faq... http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dnddefinitivefaq.asp Drow: DRAU (as in drowsy; rhymes with now and how) Edit: damn... Thorntangle beat me to it... oh well.

Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order(Full)

Apologies for the short notice on this, but my wife and I are going on vacation starting Tuesday morning, so I won't be posting at all until at least Saturday night, mostly likely Sunday morning. Have a good week.

Women Gamers vs. PCs/DMs Significant Others

My wife started playing D&D because I was into it, but I wasn't the one who introduced her to it. Her older brother played with a bunch of his friends and she was always interested in playing with them, but they wouldn't let her. Something about how geeky it'd be letting your little sister...

    Cleaving after an AoO

Whoops... :o should have hit "preview"... oh well, it just supports you anyways, Scion. *thumbs up* The bolded part seems to be fairly universal... all you have to do is drop the opponent and you get an immediate extra melee attack. Normally, you just resolve your melee attacks and then...

    Cleaving after an AoO

I've allowed cleave attempts whenever a character who has the feat kills an opponent (or drops it below 0 hit points), no matter what. Well, okay, with a melee weapon. Cleave to me isn't truly another attack, it's just the character following through on his swing. So, he slashes an orc, for...

Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order

(ooc: with all the D-names, It's a struggle not to type "Drannick". heh) Rannick takes in his surroundings, looking for surviellance cameras in the room or hallways... he also glances around at the dead stormtroopers quickly, looking for any resources they can use (utility belts, rifles, etc)...

Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order

Rannick follows the others down, and when he reaches the very bottom, he brings his rifle up, scanning the area for targets.

Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order

Just like you to spout the assinine comments prematurely, Dralon. he thinks. "Take the fast route, Devlin, we've got to get down there. Archimedes, if you can, before you come down, rig the grapple so you can undo it with a sharp tug. We may need it again." he then takes ahold of the rope and...

    Quick Question on Fireball

Hmm.. maybe that's what wizards spend all their time doing instead of learning weapons and armor? ;)

Galactic Empire: Serving the New Order

Keeping his voice quiet, he replies "Hmph... It's possible that they're just maintaing radio silence so the rebels don't intercept anything... however, it's also quite possible the General has decided not to risk his troops to protect the man who killed his son." he looks down the shaft. "Well...

    Caster check vs Spell Resistance

As I said above, I agree the grammar of the text does seem to favour individual rolls, however, in your quote above with targetted spells... burning hands and fireball are not targetted spells. If you target specific creatures, I can see you trying to overcome the individual SR of each target...

    familiar question

I always kinda figured that being able to take "Improved Familiar" would be like a reward for wizards and sorcerers who decide not to take a familiar until much later. I know I'd wait until 7th level, doing without a familiar until then, in order to get a pseudodragon. However, I don't think...

    Caster check vs Spell Resistance

Actually, after discussing it with some others, I think you're right, shoof. The rules seem to imply that it's a seperate roll for each opponent, with its use of singular possessive in the text ("creature's" rather than "creatures'"), but it makes more sense that a caster puts a certain amount...

    Caster check vs Spell Resistance

sorry to press, but do you have a specific book and page reference for that, since I'm getting conflicting calls on that rule.
