WotC Gale Force 9 Sues WotC [Updated]

Basically, what Sick_Boy already answered. We may not have all the facts (and if this is settled out of court, we probably never will), but if WotC had solid proof of a breach of contract on GF9's part, they wouldn't need to play the "stall" tactic. The same tactic they used with the Dragonlance...

    [IC] Eberron: The Plumbers

"What in the..." Liutbrand sprints towards Alara and the rest of the party, finding DePoe on the ground. He kneels over him "He's still breathing. Rotom, snap out of it. Can your knowledge of alchemy help us identify this substance? medicine check: 1D20+3 = [2]+3 = 5 I'm guessing a result of 5...

WotC Gale Force 9 Sues WotC [Updated]

If WotC had solid evidence that GF9 breached contract, they wouldn’t need to resort to the shady tactics they’re using.

D&D 5E (2014) Are proficiency swaps too strong for some races?

It isn't exactly overpowered, but it's very very silly and a likely candidate for errata or clarification.

WotC Gale Force 9 Sues WotC [Updated]

The usage of such a nickname would almost certainly run afoul of Enworld's "keep it inclusive" rule. You could try using it on Reddit or something, though.

WotC Gale Force 9 Sues WotC [Updated]

Ok, apparently someone at WotC's legal office is a big fan of this "I'll just avoid approving anything you send in without even reading it haha" scummy tactic. We'll see how well it goes in courts for them, but regardless, they have my disapproval. Very uncool of them, shame.

D&D 5E (2014) Investment of the Chain Master: Sprite is the new Imp?

Also elementals. And an assortment of other miscellaneous creatures. Like unicorns, for some reason.

D&D 5E (2014) What is up with the popularity of watching other D&D groups play the game?

I tried watching critical role. Tuned off after an hour or so. I guessed Mercer’s group style simply didn’t align with my own. So, I tried watching Team Four Star’s D&D streams. I knew for a fact I enjoyed their content: dbza abridged, their streams, their podcasts etc. I didn’t enjoy their D&D...

    D&D 5E (2014) Usefull falling damage?

Capping falling damage to 20d6 was IMO very dumb. I still use 4e’s maximum of 50d10. An absolutely epic hero can still probably survive a fall at terminal velocity, but not almost unscathed.

    D&D 5E (2014) Gloom Stalker Ranger

Sounds correct. As the previous poster said, your abilities scores seems to be higher than normal, but that’s to be expected if you went with rolling scores. Keep in mind that two weapon fighting uses up your bonus action every round, limiting your ability to use some very good ranger spells.

Dragonlance [Dragonlance/Faerun] Anyone here met any Cataclysm/Wall of the Faithless defenders?

I would be totally ok with that. Something like: Evil deities are big fans of the wall, let the puny mortal who dared defy the gods suffer; Neutral deities see the wall as a necessary evil, to prevent the mortal from going astray (like apparently happened in the past when Kel tried to be...

Dragonlance [Dragonlance/Faerun] Anyone here met any Cataclysm/Wall of the Faithless defenders?

Well, Kelemvor himself is Lawful Neutral, not Lawful Good

Dragonlance [Dragonlance/Faerun] Anyone here met any Cataclysm/Wall of the Faithless defenders?

Real world atheists and FR faithless are nowhere close, IMO. A real world atheist does not believe in a higher power, since there is no concrete scientific evidence of the existence of such power. A perfectly logical and acceptable position. FR faithless do not deny the existence of higher...

    D&D 5E (2014) Forgotten realms recent history

I usually advise anyone that wants to run the Realms to just use 137x as a start date. Plenty of lore material, even on the wikis.

D&D 5E (2014) Aberrant Mind's Psionic Sorcery is officially the most powerful feature.

And you are being absolutely annoying right now. Maybe you don't realize it, but the way you communicate is perfect for making people angry. You make bombastic claims and demean everything your detractors say without EVER addressing their points: you just move the goal post and carry on like...

D&D 5E (2014) Aberrant Mind's Psionic Sorcery is officially the most powerful feature.

Any rogue with 20 dex, expertise to stealth, perception, investigation, half decent wis and int and darkvision. Skulker feat is highly advised, as is Alert, if possible. For the love of...I already asked: What.Are.Those.Divinations. I only see clairvoyance on your build and it's terrible.

D&D 5E (2014) Aberrant Mind's Psionic Sorcery is officially the most powerful feature.

...I also suspect you might not be a native english speaker. It's all right, I'm not either, but I feel like you are not understanding part of what I'm trying to communicate correctly. Magic guidance won't help against enemies with good stealth, because, as you know, you won't get to roll...

D&D 5E (2014) Aberrant Mind's Psionic Sorcery is officially the most powerful feature.

Dude, you just made a stealthy scout alpha-strike build with crap perception. You're going to be dead meat a long time before you hit tenth level. Any normal DM will kill you without trying, just because you're walking into combat encounters built for 4-5 people alone and blissfully unaware of...

D&D 5E (2014) Aberrant Mind's Psionic Sorcery is officially the most powerful feature.

You just confirmed my suspicions. You interpret stealth like D&D it's a videogame (one that's also in open beta, btw). That crap doesn't fly with a half decent human DM, I assure you.
