For those who don't play D&D (or its clones), what keeps you engaged with EN World?

Even with a full-time work budget, I've had to avoid impulse buying, esp. with Kickstarters. Living abroad for 5 years and then moving back to an area that was still remote from my main group helps. No point in buying a lot of physical books and games if I'm not playing in person. The other...

For those who don't play D&D (or its clones), what keeps you engaged with EN World?

I'm finding EN World has become more of a habit than actually being related to how I enjoy the hobby. Mainly I am mostly hanging out on this thread, the meme thread, the occasional business and problem person drama threads, and I'll skim news posts just to have some idea of whats going on with...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Random dumb thought. Will vaping so over take combustible cigarette smoking that we see a drop in accidental fires?

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

People always quote this out of context, conveniently leaving out the following sentence: "And what fun is that?" ;‑)

WotC Chris Perkins announces Retirement from Dungeons and Dragons

Does anyone know if all the old episode of Acq Inc are recorded and available? I really enjoyed Acq Inc and made an effort to watch each one for years, but kinda fell away. Where would I go to catch up? I'm only talking about the live audience shows at the various PAX conventions. Or have...

watching time pass via tv show

I never realized that show came back in 2017 for a couple of years. Would be fun to watch some episodes from 1998 and jump to 2020.

Judge Rejects Lawsuit With Dragon Logo, Calling It ‘Juvenile and Impertinent’ A lawyer said he had used the cartoon image of a dragon in a business suit as a logo for his firm, Dragon Lawyers, to symbolize “aggressive representation.”...

D&D 5E (2014) Hypothetical: WotC goes under and Hasbro vaults D&D. Now What?

I have enough D&D stuff to ride out the rest of my life. But I'll probably not get to most of it because of all the other games I want to play. It just wouldn't make much of a difference in my personal life.

D&D 5E (2024) OAR 10 City State of the Invincible Overlord

Will certainly watch this thread to know when the KS or Bakerkit for this goes live. On a related note, anyone else having issues with the Goodman Games store not loading?

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Thanks, I'll check it out. Do you recommend the podcast over the TV show? I've not seen either, but don't think I'd go through both.

Doctor Who. The difference between the first season and the current, in terms of background tech is more glaring in its differences than the alien tech they try to depict.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yeah. Sorry. I have this bad habit of responding as I read and not using the multi‑quote feature. On the plus side, some people hate when people use the multi‑quote feature. Others hate when you don't use it. If I'm going to piss people off either way, I'll always choose the laziest way to piss...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

As someone how has an intense pet peeve of people pointing anywhere near my face, especially while driving, I sympathize. I would have bitten a lot of fingers over the decades, but you don't know where those things have been...or worse, you do.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I feel it was the "norm" "back then" for many of us because we simply were younger, generally got into the hobby while in school, and simply had more time.
