Looking at the first highlight, since Channel Divinity is magical then it should be able to illuminate the darkness. Since it is not a spell (see Crawford's tweet above), the second highlight should not apply.

The Channel Divinity is magical, but not a spell, so I would say that it can illuminate magical darkness. As long as the warlocks stay 15 feet away from the Cleric then it shouldn't disrupt their tactics.

Aren't you casting it on an object, like a sword or armor? So long as it's a different object per mephit then it should be fine.

I understand what you are saying, but I have never had a DM roleplay a zero level NPC as being in either awe or fear of a mid to high level character. They all seem to disdain the characters whether they are awesome or terrible.
