Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

My mistake. I linked to the wrong page. I lost my link to the original it was similarly titled 'Open letter...' such and such. It's there somewhere.

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Slick you say? Well, from one single thread alone on the WotC own message boards, there are 52 pages of people who tend to disagree with you. (Edit: The one I read earlier I can't seem to find. Instead here's a general link to the CB forums on the WotC site. The point is there are a very large...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Gotta run out and will check on this later. However some quick additions. The point of my thread is just to say that we have all the technology sitting here, and has been for years, to run D&D so much better than we are at present. Wizards needs to find a way to allow players and DM's alike to...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

I totally agree. Now the errata are available for download. It's awesome. The strangest part is, the errata are digitally produced for the PC. Yet... we don't have digital versions of the books themselves to apply the errata to. Sad state of affairs.

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Ok. So I guess then that only leaves me with 123 pages to peruse while I purchase a supposedly finished product. Where's my glue? Children's books and board games? Interesting. Actually sorry no, no interest in those unfortunately. How about merchandising something the players who know the...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

I guess you didn't get the memo. DDI subscribers have a thread. It's long. It contains all of the arguments on why they *cancelled* their subscription after the old CB was killed. The new CB is slick? Are you just trolling or... really?? The suggestion to show only content from something you...

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

Let me get the rant out of the way. I have to say that I think I'm not going to be buying any WotC products for a very long time, especially books. It is book after book after book that have endless errata and half the time it seems nobody is even proofreading the material anymore. What are we...

Old 4th Edition Dungeon Master's Screen

Hi I only recently realized the Perception area of the 'Frequently Used Skills' table may be wrong. The DC's to listen to Whispers through a door add up to 20, whereas in the DMG and PHB they are at 25. Am I missing something or is this errata? I've looked through the errata pages and found...

Goblin Hexer - Errata? Or just OP?

Hm alright cool thanks. A bit confusing though it sorta makes sense.

Goblin Hexer - Errata? Or just OP?

Quick question. With the Vexing Cloud (the old version), is the -2 penatly to attacks *in addition* to the -2 penalty to attacks from being concealed, so a total of -4?

Goblin Hexer - Errata? Or just OP?

This turned into quite the discussion. In terms of the Monster Vault 'errata' on the Hexer, you're right the nerf is kinda minimal. I suppose the 'end of turn' guarantees a 'save' instead. But if the Hexer focused fire on a target he could pretty much shut down a warlock or non-aoe specced...

Goblin Hexer - Errata? Or just OP?

Alright then I guess that answers my question. I thought it was a bit strong but I guess if there's a full party then it should be no problem. I think on a smaller group of 3 or 4 it's a bit more painful. They did alright with the last combat, but I thought if they were a little unlucky with a...

Goblin Hexer - Errata? Or just OP?

So I started playing 4th Ed again and ran the FR intro module (from the CG) and realized the Goblin Hexer power Blinding Hex to be rather... strong. Not only is it vs Fort (horrible for casters) it also does a fair bit of damage at 2d6+1, AND it blinds! (even worse for casters who are now...

    Graveborn - What are they?

Mainly this: Page 7, 3rd paragraph "(This phenomenon is what makes it possible for creatures that were never alive, such as constructs, to become undead)" Page 9, 3rd paragraph "All undead were once living beings, in that they had a soul. Soulless constructs do not and cannot become undead."...

    Graveborn - What are they?

Page 22 about 2/3 of the way down the first column. "The Shadar-Kai's tolerance of unlife applies only to graveborn that do not openly revere Orcus..."

    Graveborn - What are they?

Interesting. Another strange thing about Open Grave was in this thread. Can't say I'm all too impressed with the amount of Errata 4th Edition has needed since release. Before release I remember there being talk about digital versions of the book that you would 'own' with some code provided in...

    Graveborn - What are they?

I saw this too. But then I noticed the category of the web page: Main Page → 4e Homebrew → Races It looks like it's 'Homebrew' and not 'official' but I could be wrong. I'll check the Revenant out later (going to work now).

    Graveborn - What are they?

I started reading Open Grave and noticed a quote in there that made a reference to graveborn, saying that Shadar-Kai sometimes will deal with them (as opposed to killing them outright). What are graveborn? Can't seem to find them anywhere.
