I'm not really seeing the problem with the armbands, if an attack gives you melee damage, even if its a burst or blast or whatever, you get a +2 on the damage.. As long as it is melee damage..

Why does it need fixing? If a dc is 30, a level 10 character, trained in the skill for the dc has a minimum of +10, lets say his ability is +5, he has an +15 for the check.. With aid of 4 others to help him, he needs to roll 7 or higher?

Well simply said: Deft Strike is one action.. Otherwise, storm of blades (fighter attack 13) would consist of 6 actions.. Those mini actions don't exist..

Your rogue is doing good :) The rogue in the party i dm, uses the same tactics, using walls for full cover, pop out and shoot.. The rogue is designed to have CA -> Sneak Attack every round and this works good for ranged rogues..
