A white board is very handy but.. i can't take one with me every time i go D&D.. So i grabbed some very big, flexible paper sheets with squares on them (already printed), laminated them and sa sa.. i have my own flexible whiteboard :)

RAW.. No.. But if it is a magical effect that makes you invisible i could rule you could make a arcana check.. If the character would have a magical item.. it would be possible, as long if the target stay's into the range for 1 minut..

Passive perception is great, if my characters walk down a hallway with a secret door (detect DC 20) and the highest passive perception is 16/17, no-one shall know there is a secret door.. If someone still wants to check, active roll, if someone say's he'll search for 20 minutes.. take 20 ;)

Rule wise there is no between in Ally/Enemie.. I as a DM have had a different situation where the party captured a kobold and took it with them, one half of the party saw him as an ally and the other half as an enemy. Although some persons did not want to chose between ally/enemie i made them...

The most logical answer is: Yes.. You don't attack, the Cleric attacks and if hits he gets his bonus from you cause the cleric did his uberly best ;)
