The free feature would be great, but don't limit the choice between two features.. I am a DM that advices on certain things but shall never tell you something is bad or is needed.. My players choose their features and likes themselves and if they get burned by it, they get burned..

Depends on what the "target" line say's in the power.. But it is always changeable as per situation per dm..

I don't get it.. Hobgoblins, humans and the likes are natural creatures.. To identify a natural creature, you make a nature check.. Learning more about a monster can be done in two way's.. Nature check gives you abilities and the likes.. History check gives you history about the creature..
