    The Playtest Agreement

Which, according to Mike Mearls, includes their own people (emphasis mine): Interview: Mike Mearls Talks About D&D Next / Kobold Quarterly

Has anyone played "The Shab-al-Hiri Roach" RPG?

I haven't myself, but Actual People Actual Play did an episode on it. Actual People, Actual Play They don't do full AP recordings. It's more of a recap and an analysis about how it went. Still, you might find it interesting.

    Intoxicated

Just my $0.02 (USD), but Intoxicated doesn't have to mean drunk on alcohol. It would make a good poison effect and could work for a charm spell of some kind, too. Think of an evil druid's Poppy Predators, that force a WIS save vs Intoxicated when you engage them in melee. Or maybe an...

    The Playtest Agreement

It's not hypothetical situations that are a problem. The problem is that some genius started a program called an "online playtest" and then said they don't wanting us "playing online" using any means, including the one they provide as a paid subscription service. Will people play online...

    The D&D Next Playtest Begins...

Still, it's somewhat amusing that the legitimate access I signed up for and was granted doesn't work, while the "share" sites already have it. Not that I condone that sort of thing.

GenCon - WotC's "secret seminar" - What is the Sundering?

You misread the title of the seminar. It's "5undering" with a "5", not an "S". It details how Mike Mearls plans to single-handedly ruin bleepin' everything by creating 5th edition. ;)

    Zenimax files trademark for "Dragonborn"

You mean like the D&D game on Facebook that has Dragonborn in it?

    Zenimax files trademark for "Dragonborn"

It looks like WotC first used them in 2006, by that name at least. When did they first appear in the Elder Scrolls games (I've played none of them)?

    Wizards of Waverly Place RPG??

I hadn't really considered it, but you could probably re-skin the Smallville rpg and end up with a pretty good fit.

    Explorative History Lessons

Well, according to the rock-solid research I conducted at Wikipedia, Columbus was promised a cut of the action if the new trade route worked out. Basically paying for something like that on a commission basis seems like a good idea if you're backing a risky venture. If the party wants to argue...

    Supporting Diablo-style Gameplay

I hope the promise of being able to get mileage out of old D&D material holds up. I always liked bringing out some Diablo monsters for an encounter or two.

    Rappan Athuk Reborn Kickstarter

$100 is more than we're used to paying, but remember what you get. A "leather"-bound hardback book big enough stop most small arms rounds. You can always go for the pdf at $40.

    What's your favorite trap?

50' or so pit trap with a net at the bottom for a nice, soft landing. Also at the bottom are a zone of silence and a zone of darkness. All the guys at the top watch their friend fall into a bottomless hole and never hear him hit bottom or yell for help.

    Emotional Attachment

For me, it's memories of the times we had playing. I mean, I know the Palladium system is klunky in places. But if the old gang wanted to get together and do Heroes Unlimited or TMNT for a weekend, I'd want to do it.

Public D&D Playtests To Begin On May 24th

I could be mistaken, but didn't they say in the PAX video that they were only like 10% - 20% done with the first real draft of the rules? Something like six weeks later, we're ready for public playtesting? Somebody show me I've missed something, please.
