Alright, so monks can flurry for two attacks... using a quarterstaff. But is that to be considered attacking using the quarterstaff two handed? In that case wouldn't the monk get strength and a half on damage as well as the +2 for every -1 on power attack? This is how i beleive it is seeing as...

i see, so the DR x/- of a barbarian would stack with teh DR 2/- of the armor spec but not any other kind of DR.

i don't think i've ever heard of a housecat killing a full grown ... anything for that matter, maybe a baby or child, but they just don't possess large enough tools for killing something large... think of a whip, it deals gashes many times deeper and lethal then a cat could do with a full 20...

am i the only one who is wondering why a cat is fighting a commoner? i'm sure the kitty can't even deal lethal damage, and what exactly did the commoner do? :s

If i DM (which i'm might be coming up) I intend on allowing all the Races books, ECS (if its in Eberron), PHBI and II, and one or two of the Complete's each (ie adventurer and warrior for a fighter or arcane for wizard. My personal favorites are races of stone, PHBII and complete warrior.

i know its never really taken and they aren't terribly useful but don't forget about the skill focus feat. Thats another +3 UMD on any of these builds right there. I guess it really depends on how badly you need UMD

I'm entirely in favor of using a list of books allowed. If the DM doesn't specify which books are allowed are which aren't then he is going to get approached by every PC with a million little things they want to add from some obscure source that he doesn't know. when you start your campaign say...
