Its definately a toss up between year of the were-chicken and year of the Baby Half Terrasque/ Half Gellatinous Cube. Year of the nymph sounds appealing, especially if they put out some callanders.

They do seem very powerful, but why do they need to be a minimum of 5th level to use the template? In the MM it says the CR is base creature +2 which dosent seem anywhere near powerful enough.

Im not being a smart ass or anything, but how does a beholder drink a potion, they have no arms. This applies to other things aswell, like large dragons, their fingers would be too big to pick up the potion and direct its flow into their mouths.
