    D&D 5E (2014) Lost Mine of Phandelver

As the nasty bugbear is just getting to his feet, Aenwyr looses his first spell. The druid pulls and weaves the magic of nature, calling to all of the moss, lichen, algae, and other plant matter living off of the water infusing the air of the caverns from the spring running through it. The...

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

Ah, no worries. Like I said before, I feel like Raiyek should leave it for someone else most of the time anyway. :)

I'm going to take Neil's advice and use Illarion's AP bonus. Illarion's AP bonus effect (1d6=4) I'll update my previous post with the rolls and effects. Edit: previous post updated. Beholder grants CA TENT Illarion. That also means Vermitrax's sword's attack hits AC 20, in case it matters.

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

I thought about claiming it, but I figured Raiyek is the highest level PC in the group so technically he should need it the least. But if no one else wants it I'll take it. ;) I suppose it does have a chance to affect the beholder as well.

Bah, sorry Voda Vosa, I didn't see your post until after I finished mine. I can use a Channel Divinity to give you a save with +2 next turn, if you're still suffering. Or send some healing if you're within 5, whichever you prefer.

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

The beholder seems to be leaving Raiyek alone, still anchored to the ground as he is. The monster thinks I am not a threat. Time to show it how wrong it is. Let's see how this armour works... The elf straps his shield on while he has this moment of reprieve, then closes his eyes and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Lost Mine of Phandelver

Initiative (1d20+2=22). Nat 20, nice! Hearing Klarg's plan, Aenwyr blurts out, "He sent one of the goblins to get help! Quickly now!" As he urges his companions to action, he begins raising the holly amulet...

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

Just as a note, Raiyek has a few healing powers to help out. The catch is that you have to be within 5 squares of him. ;)

    D&D 5E (2014) Lost Mine of Phandelver

Aenwyr hangs back, near Mina, trying to find a spot where he can aid either Mina or the rest of the group, depending on who may need help more. As several members of the party begin to climb the steps, the druid once more checks his shield and touches his fingers to the living holly hanging from...

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

I forgot to put this in my other post, so I'm making a new post so it doesn't get lost. If the beholder attacks anyone within 5 squares of Raiyek, he will use Charge of the Conqueror (drawing his sword as part of the action due to his ruby scabbard). Charge of the Conqueror (Encounter...

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

Hmm ... Is Raiyek able to take advantage of the free 2-square shift from Fhangrim's power? I think it depends on when that movement is supposed to happen. If it happens when Fhangrim used the power, then I think I'm out of luck, as Raiyek was petrified at that time. If it can happen any time...

Yes, it was save ends. And now it has ended. :) Lucky duck indeed!
  13. Lord Sessadore

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

As Raiyek's limbs seize, he has only the barest instant to realize what is happening to him before all goes dark... Save vs petrified. (1d20=12). I'm free! After what seems like both a moment and an eternity, sight and hearing return to the paladin, and what seem like scales of stone fall from...

Haha, ok. So I'm a statue until I save, then. That makes for an easy IC post. ;)

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

Can someone check for me - what can I do while petrified? I didn't get a chance to check my books last night like I wanted to. I'll get my IC post up today sometime. Neil, if it doesn't affect our characters, I don't have any issues with grouping the monsters all together. :)

Also, as the owner of the Google doc you should be able to access an edit log, in case you ever do want to check who added/changed something. :)

[OOC DISCUSSION] Daunton's Dead Past. DM: FourMonos

No worries on the rolls - it happens. :) I'm sure we've all blown our share of important rolls, lol. Raiyek's plan is basically to get in the beholder's face and stay there. I'll try to circle around it so it can't catch a bunch of us in any area powers. (I forget how many of those beholders...
  18. Lord Sessadore

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

Raiyek glares at the ugly beast and reaches for his sword and shield. "You are mistaken, monster. The gods fight with us this day!" Whee, a beholder! Confession time: I have never, until this day, fought a beholder. (Or used one from behind the screen. ;)) Can't beat 29, but here's my roll...
  19. Lord Sessadore

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

Raiyek nods twice, looking Lilli in the eye. "I wondered if it was the people you wanted to check on, not the places." He solemnly advises, "If what we have seen so far is any indication, they have probably packed and left with everyone else. I understand the desire to check regardless."
  20. Lord Sessadore

[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Past DM: FourMonos. Judge: Peer Committee

Raiyek looks somewhat puzzled at Lilli's proposed stops. "I do not mind such stops if they are brief, but I also fail to see how they may help our investigation. I will go with you if the others agree," the paladin offers. Then, speaking to the group, Raiyek puts forth his suggestion. "The...
